Serious question for Dak haters

Because in the past 20 years this team has started Clint Stoerner, Anthony Wright, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Drew Bledsoe, Vinny Testerverde and Quincy Carter quarterback for them and have ZERO faith in this team finding another quarterback just like we have zero faith in them drafting a linebacker without injury concerns.

But let me point out some things.
the jones boys are not as bad as they used to be, they have more help in drafting and FA shopping.
They did draft dak.
Now think of this what if tony does not get hurt, and 2016 was another great season for him and he plays in 17 and 18.
Then Dak never plays, and might be cut, put on ps and grabbed by another team where he sits on the bench , and never becomes
a star qb.
There are other guys like Dak who just waste away on a bench somewhere.
This guy minshew is one, he was a bench warmer who only got to play due to injury, and now he has shown he can play.
They are out there.
A guy like dinucci might be one, but if they dont play him soon we will never know.

I think the best thing is to build a great defense, and find a cheap good qb , and be mainly a running team with good defense .

Of his OLmen the highest graded was 26th at his position amongst starter, their pass block win rate was 28th in the league, absolutely nothing at tight end, Lockett who is underrated but still an average to below average WR1, a rookie DK at WR2, Chris Carson(doesn't really matter pointing out a QBs RB, but I will) wouldn't rank in the top half of starting RBs, Schottenheimer is his OC, and to top it all off he had the 21st ranked defense according to DVOA.

Despite this the Seahawks had the 5th ranked offense lol, and an 11-5 record. That's absurd.

I did mention in a reply to a post that it was Henry, Vrabel's coaching, the Titan OLine (They're top 5), the defense who led the Play-off drive. In Smith's case, Harbaugh's aggressive coaching, and a defense with Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman, and Justin Smith brought it home.

P.S. I will believe until my last breath that Jerry could have gone after Jim or John Harbaugh to coach this team if they were available.

I disagree. I think these guys eventually get in the game. Dak was never going to sit. They were grooming him to back up Romo. They didn't intend for him to get in the game as fast he did however.

Year in and year out Seahawks have a good running game. Lockett and DK last year were both pretty good. I can't say he didn't have any weapons. Russel is a very good player and there's a argument to be made he's the best quarterback in the league. Seahawks just don't have big name guys but they have some players.

Dak's not perfect, but he's really good and I believe in him and think he's definitely working toward potentially being elite. He has things he's working on and is improving. I personally haven't changed my opinion on Dak since I started watching him play at Mississippi State. Try hard guy who finds away to outlast everyone in the quarterback room. Matter of fact I made a post were I praised Dak for the fact he perseveres in which I chronicled his entire career and was labeled a hater because I said sometimes someone might come who's just better. That he can't out work that's my issue with him.

I don't mind him at quarterback because it's out of my hands and for all his issues it could be worse. If I had to choose someone it wouldn't be him and I don't think people give other guys credit because of tribalism. But it is what it is.

Joe Montana went to the AFC championship game in his comeback season with J.J. Burden and Willie Davis at wide receiver. We had the equivalent of that with Dak and he couldn't make it half a year without the Cooper trade in 2018 and the investment of our last two first round picks in reciever.

It's really very simple.

Move the team and score in the red zone against good defenses in games that matter, and stop getting two or three scores behind against those teams with poor early play. Convert more third downs at key moments.

Statistics mean nothing. Just about every QB has stats these days, much of it from late-game garbage time.
