I am more concerned with the deep snapper. He is consitent. Every snap on FGs and PATs are high and to the right.

Where did France end up? Anyway it's encouraging to know that this kid is being brought along the same way that Viniateri and Hall were before him. Should be an interesting ride.

That reminds me of the story Gene Stallings used to tell.

He said he was watching his kicker in practice and the kicker turned to him and said, "Coach, you are making me nervous looking at me like that." Stallings told the kicker..."'Son, I'm going to be at every game."

this is kinda rediculous, everyone is jumping on suisham and all hes done so far is make every kick

Typical, haven't seen this kid kick more than 21 yards and people are already ready to cut him. Kickoffs, he didn't get them in the endzone, but they were all between the 1 and the 20. What's wrong with that?

It did seem to have good hang time though, because our coverage were right there, I think they all were tackled around the 20, or at least hit around there. Maybe a run to the 30 or so once. So his kicks were enough to get our guys down field to make a play.

Not to be nitpicky, but you don't want kicks falling outside the ten too often. Hangtime is important too, but he has got to get better depth on a consistent basis to hang around.

His lack of leg strength is rather obvious. Unless he proves to be Morten Andersen inside 40 yards, he is not long for this team or any other.

well that tells you all you need to know about this team's kicking woes.

Morten Anderson is waiting in the wings, I say sign him. He won't be able to kick the ball deep on kickoffs but he'll nail the 40 yard field goal with 3 seconds left to win the game. If we need kickoffs that reach the end zone, give those duties to the punter or sign a kickoff specialist.

I like the kid. I'd take him over Cortez any day. If FOX never showed his pregame kicking, would there even be talk about questioning his FGs? He didn't show much of anything from that. All of his kicks were right down the middle, but the distance was too short to go off. I don't see a reason to dump him because of that.

The only complaint should be his kickoffs. He started off fairly well, but progressively got worse.

It's better to take care of a possible future problem before it happens, rather than after it happens and costs the team games.
