He's played everywhere but LT up until this year and now you are seeing why.

Started him at RT rookie year.

Moved him to LT in 2nd year and couldn't wait to get him outta there.

Insert Wharton to LT, Gross back to RT 3rd year and now Wharton out for year.

Delhomme better get on his horse (pun intended) cuz it's going to be a jail break.

im just sick of everybody saying that ware does this or that better then merriman. merriman does everything better then ware.

San diegos defense also does alot more blitzing..And no he's not better. wait untill the end of the season to make a statement like that.

I'm not one for knee jerk evaluations or statements, but watching the games this weekend, it's clear to me that Merriman is better. Don't get me wrong, I love Ware and am completely satisfied with the pick.

Merriman has a motor that is always running at maximum horse-power. Every play it looks like he's going to kill somebody.

Ware is great in space, and I'd rather have him chasing a guy down from behind, but as has been stated many times before, he lacks Merriman's fire (popular to say a "mean streak").

That being said, the reason I'm happy with the pick is because I think Ware has more upside. He's more raw than Merriman, but I think his measurables are freakish... moreso than Merriman. If Ware gets the most out of his measurables, he'll end up better.

Hmm. Ware confronted that same Raider line last year. How many sacks did he rack up? They both play in the 3-4 and they're both surrounded by a lot of talent. The excuses need to end. Merriman is superior.
