He was being blocked by backs on 2 of the sacks. I wish the Jags were that dumb.THEHEREAFTER said:This has NOTHING to do with Ware. I DO believe Ware plays with intensity as well. Right now I'm just in awe of a really great young player in Merriman. Granted Oaklands playcalling and protection is horrible.
bbgun said:Hmm. Ware confronted that same Raider line last year. How many sacks did he rack up? They both play in the 3-4 and they're both surrounded by a lot of talent. The excuses need to end. Merriman is superior.

Vintage said:Don't worry. I am sure there is some sort of adjusted sack ratio in relation to QB play to explain Merrimans 3 sacks counting as only .5 a sack and to adjust Ware's to 1 sack against a superior OL and QB....
Just wait.
Then we can all feel good again...

Deep_Freeze said:LOL, true, although I can't admit that Merriman is better.........least I don't want to.
BTW, Ware doesn't have a sack this season.
I just think when the chargers play, it looks like a jailbreak back there, ware is all by himself so the QB can move easier. We have to start bringing more pressure some kinda way. I mean, I don't think the chargers have a better secondary than ours, so we should be able to allow them to attack the QB.
