Shefter: DT Dareus being traded to Jacksonville

For a sixth round pick. Jeez why don't we ever do these things.

Absolutely joke. For a 6th? Meanwhile Jerry Picking his *** content with Crawford. I understand he has a large cap but bit give me a break.

You would never guess which player has double the sacks as the other over the last 3 years I bet.

Jaguars seem to be able to afford a lot of resources of defense. Signing Campbell, Church, Bouye, re-signing Telvin Smith.

Campbell, Bouye, Church, now Darreus. Not being afraid to spend money or move picks is clearly paying dividends for that defense. Meanwhile we walk into the free agency store and go straight to the clearance section and see what kind of bargains we can get.

He has issues. He was not allowed to play ond of the preseason games due to violating team rules. The Bills cut his snaps way back. He is super talented but a team has to take on some guaranteed money to trade for him. Cap space is no issue for the Jags because they barely met the minimum spend in recent years.

He'll probably be good this season but his 2018 salary is partially guaranteed; therefore, it's not just a conditional pick and then dump him at no cost if he fails.

Their front 4 of Malik Jackson, Marcell Dareus, Calias Campbell, and Dante Fowler looks scary good and back 4 of Jalen Ramsey, AJ Bouye, Tashaun Gipson, and Barry Church (puke) are playing lights out.

But trades and free agency are bad, bad, bad.
and a Middle of Polouzny, Telvin Smith and Myles Jack
