Shocking stat on Cooper

I only wanted to get rid of hurns and twill cause of their financial costs. Wanna Use some of that money towards Cooper and Beasley. But hurns imo is the 4th best out of the group.

Hurns has made some good plays in an anemic offense. He's not THAT expensive....

I honestly have no idea.

I would imagine it will be one of the primary focuses for our 2nd or 3rd round picks.

I think Caleb Wilson would be a good guy to target in the 2nd round as our Witten "replacement". Swaim is good enough to be a #2.

I find that really a strange comment

What’s strange?

You don’t give Grandpa a NASCAR. You give it to Jeff Gordon.

Giving Dak a stud WR is like giving Grandpa a nascar. You’ll never get the full use out of it.

It’s a waste of a resource until we find a guy that can actually throw the football.

Are you STILL holding your Ankle???

cooper has had 2 consecutive games of at least 5 rec for 58 yards.

The last time a Cowboy accomplished both those marks in consecutive games was Jason Witten first two games of last year.

Looks like Cowboys finally have a weapon that can’t be totally neutralized like Beasley, Zeke, Dez the last 2 years just by putting extra attention on them.

That is what a #1 receiver is.

The first rounder has a high price to pay, but teams have to gameplan us differently now...

I don't remember the exact quote but after the trade Jerry said Cooper was a true #1 and only half the teams in the league have that, which is why they made the trade.

He got flamed on this site of course, but he was right.
Jerry gets criticized regardless

Having Cooper prevents defenses from putting all their effort to stop one part of the game and keeps them honest. He also allows the team to accurately evaluate what their offensive shortcomings are, which I mostly believe to be play calling, pass protection (improving under Columbo), and Dak being gunshy.

I think he's gun shy because he still cannot read defenses or anticipate the WRs coming open. If and when that day ever comes I think it will solve most of Dak's problems. Fingers crossed!

Cause if they don’t show Cooper respect he’ll run by the Corner and Dak will still overthrow him.

He opens himself up to that criticism by being GM.

So he has nobody to blame but himself.

If he wants the credit for winning. He gets the credit for losing. It’s only fair.....
thats not the same as when he says something positive and right he get hammered
thats blind hate and makes me defend him
just be fair and Im good

Nice analysis Bumpkin....or it might be he will hit a big play, or get a first down like he has almost EVERY time he has been thrown the ball in Dallas so far.....hmmm...don't cry, it'll be alright. You're boy has an X-box, he is happy. Throw up the X..."foot propped up..."

What I’m saying is though. He would get the benefit of the doubt more, if the team won more often.

The hammering happens without the benefit of hindsight. People are less likely to trust the GM when the team has a losing record.

He was wide open tonight and Dak over threw him....

This is why you don’t waste resources on a QB who is statistically one of the worst passers in the league.

What's interesting about Douglas' comment on Cooper is they didn't play the Cowboys yet this year. So he's not talking about post-Dez and pre-Cooper. He's talking with Dez. They were able to cheat more when Dez was on the field than they can now with Cooper. His words not mine.

That doesn't surprise me but I bet it surprises a bunch of Dez Bryant fans.
I'm not easily fooled by words does the tape confirm what he says or not? That's all that matters not words. People are going to learn to stop listening to just words because they might go with the pov they already had.

Cooper doesn’t make a big enough difference with this QB and O Coordinator.
Cooper is what allowed us to pass on 1st down tonight.

Here's our first three 1st-down plays:
1st possession
Prescott sacked, 3-and-out.

2nd possession
Elliott right tackle for 2 yards. (2nd down pass to Cooper for 13 yards, first down)
Elliott right end for 1 yard. (3rd down pass to Cooper for 10 yards, first down)

Then we passed on 14 of our next 15 first down plays. The only exception was Dak's TD on a sneak at the 1-yd line.

That's 15 consecutive 1st-down plays without a Zeke run. Of course, the next time Zeke runs on 1st down, he gets 15 yards.
