OT: Michael Crabtree must be a massive dousche. To be a free agent with his talent after not really having a solid QB for his duration in SF is kinda surprising.

Twill was definitely the weakest link on our offense last year.. his speed is the only positive but his disappearing act was scary and im all for drafting a WR high

Supposedly a case similar to Hakeem Nicks where he just can't run anymore after all of the leg injuries

For his career, these are the pass ratings on Williams' 128 targets from Romo, by down.
1st/2nd down: 139.7
3rd/4th down: 45.8

I hear you bro.

But LR played opposite of dez and took advantage of 1 on 1

You're completely off the mark comparing Robinson's one season with the Cowboys in 2011 with the 2 seasons Twill has been with the team. First off LR was entering his 5th season in the NFL when the Cowboys signed him he was an experienced receiver. He was signed because Miles Austin suffered a hamstring injury on opening day vs SF and the Cowboys needed a veteran who could step in. Austin who missed a number of games and struggled with his hammy that season along with the Cowboys not having a Cole Beasley in the slot opened up a great opportunity for LR especially with Dez who was only in his second season and was still developing as an NFL WR. Dez wasn't near the receiver in 2011 that he's become today and he battled some minor injuries that season that limited him. He only caught 9 more passes than Robinson who became one of Romo's top targets in 2011 due to circumstance. If LR was anything special the Cowboys wouldn't have let him walk after that season and he would have lasted more than one season in JAX where he disappointed. He was such an average receiver he hasn't been on an NFL roster since the 2012 season.

Twill arrived in Dallas as a rookie having to learn how to be an NFL WR and Cole Beasley who arrived a year earlier was starting to establish himself in the slot. His emergence last season moved Twill to the 4th option in a run first offense. There's not enough balls to go around in an offense that leaned on the run more than the pass last season and has a dynamic #1 receiver. Dez had 5 fewer catches in 2014 than the previous season because Romo had a career low in attempts. You complained in a previous post that Twill only had one catch vs Green Bay but it was for a 38 yard score. Dez only had 3 official catches because Romo attempted only 19 passes. What Twill lacks in yards and catches he makes up for in big catches and TD's. I'm sure you weren't very happy with Alvin Harper back in the day but his contribution to the 90's teams were very similar to what we see we Twill who showed up in practically every big game the Cowboys played last season.

He only caught 2 passes vs Seattle but one was a GREAT catch on the sidelines for a huge first down that helped the Cowboys win that game. He only caught 2 passes vs Indy in a game that had the NFC East on the line but one was for a 43 yard TD. In a critical come from behind win vs the Giants he only caught one pass but it was for an 18 yard score that helped the Cowboys pull that game out. He only had 3 catches vs Detroit in the playoffs but one was for a 76 yard TD that helped the Cowboys pull that game out. Twill has been clutch showing up in the most important games of the season. As long as he continues showing up in the important games and scores TD's I'm not going to make an issue about his yards and number of catches. He's simply not going to catch a lot of balls and put up a lot of yards in an offense that gears towards the run and has the receiving options the Cowboys have. He's a good receiver who's still developing and your comment in another post claiming he sucks is way off base.

Williams started out fast, faded in midseason. Then finished strong at the end. I don't like the fact he is a body catcher. But he has grown every season. I am willing to keep him in the fold, but do we draft 2 WR's in the draft? Or do we believe Street will step up this season and draft a WR/KR?

He had a broken finger at mid season. The team downplayed it, but I think they intentionally stayed away from him because of it. They didn't want to talk about it because Williams was still effective in his primary role which is to run clear out routes to get Dez, Witten and Beasley open.

You can keep saying it and keep being wrong. It won't change anything.

Whatever he did to you, you gotta let it go(since your name is frozen).

Lmao.....

I respect the fact you have faith in him. I just don't see it bro.

What he did to me was, make me stand up during the games asking " why isn't anyone getting open for room when dez is doubled??? "

Twills fundamentals are not ideal. If he has to play for a contested ball I have my doubts about his success. Odds would favor a physical corner being able to knock the ball out of his body catch.

He seems to do well with basket catches...hence his oft praised sideline catch.

I'm going to go out on a flyer and guess the "basket catch to the body on the sideline" is one of his favorite drills.

I'm going to also guess the "climb the ladder and pluck the ball out of the air" or "quick slant and snatch the ball out of the air" is not one of his favorite drills.

At some point he is going to have develop stronger and more aggressive hands. If not, eventually like all aging WRs, your speed diminishes and either you run amazing routes to create separation consistently or you fight for more contested balls.

I doubt he would be successful with the latter.

Sorry that I'm not ready to replace a player that helped us win multiple games last year (Including a playoff game while helping us get back into another) for some bum in FA or an unknown in the draft.

The disrespect both Williams and Murray get around here is ridiculous. Bryant gets a lot of targets, Witten does, Murray did, Beasley did, and Terrance Williams gets his. That's all with us being a run heavy offense.

As much as I like Bryant and he sure did help us win games, there are certain players that just show up in big moments; that is Terrance Williams.

The disrespect? Lol how dramatic.

For me, In terms of priority, DL, RB, CB, swing OT, LB (in no particular order come the Draft) and then WR. Maybe we take a chance on a guy like Diggs later in the Draft? I just don't see the Cowboys taking a WR early this year, unless someone incredible falls.

What are you questioning here? T-Will is labeled as "sucking", Murray's performance last year is being downplayed because of our offensive line.

Yes, it's disrespect. There are countless players that come in and out of this league, and a player that has helped us win games (One being the playoffs) is who sucks? Want to see ****** players, watch preseason.

Talk about being dramatic and exaggerations? Read topics on both Williams and Murray to see that, some are in this very thread.

Haha, what games were this? The games we were dominating in the run and when Romo was completing 70-80% of his passes nearly every other week? Yeah, no one was getting open. I forgot we had other receivers on this team outside of Williams, which over 100 receptions went to.

And I'm sure you had faith in him when he helped us win games in the clutch last year. But hey, we all have to have something to ***** about in the offseason, I guess.

The first 12-4 season since...forever.

Now the natives want to replace players that got the team there.

I'm certain Madden is a wonderfully fun game.

I'm certain Madden is a wonderfully fun game.

You would think the Cowboys finished 4-12 and the offense finished in the bottom half of the league with some of the threads that have been started since the season ended. You'll never see a player take more abuse from their own fan base during a season in which they set a franchise rushing record out distancing the competition by over 500 yards while receiving 2 league MVP votes than Murray. I've been following the Cowboys since the 72 season and never have I seen a player who contributed more to a successful season receive so much disrespect. No appreciation thread for Murray it was good riddance! Now that most are happy he's gone they want to replace Twill who caught 8 TD's in 2014 and was second in the entire league with a 16.8 average.

Someone claimed he didn't show up this season when all he did was show up in every big game the Cowboys played. He showed up more in the playoffs than Dez but he's not good enough for some. NFLN showed some of the best plays Romo made in 2014 and Twill was on the receiving end of several of them. Romo had to escape a rush vs Seattle and it was Twill who bailed him out with a spectacular Drew Pearson like catch on the sidelines. One of the top plays of the year by Romo was escaping the grasp of JJ Watt the defensive player of the year and it was Twill who bailed Romo out with a TD.

Someone complained Twill only caught 4 passes in the playoffs but they failed to mention those 4 catches added up to 130 yards and 3 TD's. Twill scored 3 TD's in the playoffs while Dez didn't score once. As for Dez you have some that want him gone. While some are complaining Twill is a body catcher you have others complaining Dez wants too much money and can't separate from defenders. This fan base is so out of kilter you had many immediately after a great 12-4 season clamoring to dump Murray, Dez, Twill and even Witten's name came up while others continue defending Mo Claiborne's numerous injuries and poor play wanting him to come back in hopes he can solidify our secondary. o_O
