Should we consider switching out Parker for Quinn if Commanders sack him?

Works for me potentially lol. I'd love to see what he can do with QW, Malachi Lawrence, and Downs.
Parker might be the worst DC I've ever seen. I've been trying to be patient, but 5 games in and it's the same old crapp. He's terrible.

We easily have enough talent on D to be in the 15-20 range.

So Quinn gets red carpet treatment......wasn't he here when GB sliced & diced our D? These fantasy football moves are comical.

Maybe, but now that nobody is going to bash the door down for him to be a HC anytime soon, that does give us the inside track to bring him back as a desperate coach again. Him as the dline coach/assistant to Parker could be helpful for both.
Defense was a lot better with him. Our talent was lacking back then outside of Parsons too, corners always banged up (Diggs had started falling off) and no DTs or LBs worth anything…..but we still did way better than we are now.

We had Diggs and Parsons in their prime. Talent matters. We were declining. Even at the end of his tenure here. If we have some good impact players, yeah, he's pretty good. But I don't believe we have that right now.

Think of Buddy Ryan. With the Bears and Oilers he was king. He knows how to take full advantage of his talent. But there has to be talent. When he coached the Cardinals and tried his 46 defense, they fell flat.
I think Diggs had started declining, we and no LB or DTs and no run stopping…..it just seemed we got more out of what we had then we are now….it feels like we are getting less out of the guys from other teams, even worse than last year! That’s a really bad sign. Players like Kearse and Bland looked better in his scheme.

I don’t understand why we can’t be mediocre.

If you can’t be mediocre with this cast of players the Coordinator has to go.

You can’t risk another season.

I’m not asking him to be great but he can’t be the absolute worst with this group of players.

Why do people assume Quinn would wanna come back? Maybe he wants to go to GB where that guy that was huge for his defense is?

Nope, no to Quinn now that they have committed to switching to the 3-4 so it's too late. Whoever replaces Parker would have to be a 3-4 disciple like Wink Martindale

Well, and that's the thing in my view. Now we do have better DTs and LBs. And if he's just focusing on the from 7 while Parker is just focusing on playcalling and secondary, I think it becomes mutually beneficial. In theory lol.

If the Commanders sack Quinn....... should we consider switching out Parker for him? Don't get me wrong, I am trying to be patient with Parker, but if we can bring back Quinn in some capacity, that might help our defence? He knew how to make our defence good.

Legit, if Washington sacks Quinn, the Cowboys may have won without playing today. If nothing else, him and Parker would make a great tag team. Quinn's specialty is dline. Parker is supposed to be good with secondary. Those two working together. We might be able to make our D much better quickly.
Hell NO! He’s a bum. We couldn’t win when he was here. He never stopped the run, ever.

If we ever bring in another DC, it must be someone with a proven track record who makes stopping the run the absolute #1 priority.

Quinn is the DC equivalent of Dak. His defenses can look great in the regular season against mid - low level opponents. Rack up sacks, pressures, turnovers. But against the top echelon teams in the league and in the playoffs all of that went away and most of the time they laid an egg.
