But…but… QBs don’t win by themselves says the drooling Dak idiot
Well, that is total nonsense and we both know it, hard part is grabbing that golden ticket at QB when it becomes available.
Easy part is holding onto a QB that represents your franchise and Jerry isn't losing any money because of it.
As long as a significant portion of the fan base supports and fills the seats, Jerry can sit on this egg forever.

Don't tell Jerry that the window is closing. He'll trade a couple of 1's for a WR, or draft a RB #4 overall or something dumb...

I think Dak needs to get us to a NFC Championship in the next two seasons. If he fails, use a 1st on a QB in 2025.
after this season they have to extend him, because his cap hit for 24 would be too high.
If they extend him they have to keep him, for another 4 years or so.

Please by all means give Dak an extension so we can keep this misery train going with that loser.
oh they will, the jones boys are terrified of trying to find another qb. They havent drafted one since dak took over.
It is also like JG, they stuck with him for 10 years trying to help him win a sb to prove they were right to make him HC.
They will do the same with dak. They want to prove they were right about him, so I see another 4-8 years with dak.
So by 2031 they might start looking at other qb's.

some of those teams on the list have yet to open an actual window lol.
miami, Minnesota,Chargers, have only made the playoffs, and lost wc round, which to me isnt contending.
the jets, havent even made the playoffs. So I see these teams as hopefuls to do better, not SB contenders.

49ers, Eagles Among 11 NFL Teams With Closing Super Bowl Windows

Heading into the 2023 season, the Bengals and Chiefs are the only two contenders that don’t need to worry about competing for championships for years to come.

8. Dallas Cowboys
The window might be closing fast on the Cowboys with quarterback Dak Prescott in the third year of a four-year extension. Prescott would have helped his contract situation in January had he delivered a postseason victory against the 49ers in the divisional round, where so many Cowboys seasons have abruptly ended since the glory years of the 1990s. Dallas hasn’t advanced to an NFC championship game since ’95, and have won only two playoff games since Prescott became the starter in 2016.

The Cowboys, who released running back Ezekiel Elliott in March, have reached a crossroads and will need to decide whether Prescott has what it takes to take them to the Super Bowl. This might be a make-or-break season for Prescott, but the Cowboys could be reluctant to start a full rebuild and give him a short-term contract, similar to what the Vikings have done with Cousins.

But with a strong nucleus of players featuring edge rusher Micah Parsons and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys shouldn’t be afraid to explore other options if Prescott doesn’t deliver this season.
Big year for sure and barring significant injuries, I’m expecting a great year.

I think you will find that most offenses tank when playing the #1 defense in the NFL. Who played well on offense for the Cowboys? Can you even name one guy that helped out Dak in his effort to carry the team?
But shouldn't the #1 offense still play better regardless of whatever highly ranked defense they play?

They played well against other high ranked defenses. Philly was to have one of the better defenses, they played them well in both games, one without Dak.
I still say Dallas beats them if not for the 3 picks Rush threw giving them great field position.

I am not knocking Dak but the entire offense should have played better. Pollard getting injured really changed things though.

It already happened twice. Why do we need to run through this again with him to realize that he isn’t going to get over this hump?
He played well enough to win the 2021 playoff game against the 49ers........that one was on the D.

Fantasy land thoughts here, but insert a Mahomes into this team, and its dynasty time, we could stack Lombardi's for a few years.
Oh to sleep perchance to dream.
He would have lost the SB with the cowboys oline and only zeke at RB
