18-0 and a shutout in the SB.This team wouldn’t lose a game with him and the D we have.

They know that they are in good position to win over the next several years.Don't tell Jerry that the window is closing. He'll trade a couple of 1's for a WR, or draft a RB #4 overall or something dumb...
They aren't terrified. They like the qb that they have.oh they will, the jones boys are terrified of trying to find another qb. They havent drafted one since dak took over.
It is also like JG, they stuck with him for 10 years trying to help him win a sb to prove they were right to make him HC.
They will do the same with dak. They want to prove they were right about him, so I see another 4-8 years with dak.
So by 2031 they might start looking at other qb's.
Our oline was banged up and pollard was the death blowBut shouldn't the #1 offense still play better regardless of whatever highly ranked defense they play?
They played well against other high ranked defenses. Philly was to have one of the better defenses, they played them well in both games, one without Dak.
I still say Dallas beats them if not for the 3 picks Rush threw giving them great field position.
I am not knocking Dak but the entire offense should have played better. Pollard getting injured really changed things though.
No. He would not have.He would have lost the SB with the cowboys oline and only zeke at RB
Your last sentence is a fact. One the Dakistans will sweep under the rug with excuses and deflections.I can't speak for others, but for me, his extension isn't about a Super Bowl this season but NFCCG has to be the floor.
BTW......Burrows, Hurts and Allen all have NFCCG games under their belts.
I agree they have to extend but adding 1 additional year would be sufficient. I see them going in that direction if Dak sucks this season. Soonest we’ll see Dak cut is 2025.after this season they have to extend him, because his cap hit for 24 would be too high.
If they extend him they have to keep him, for another 4 years or so.
Someone had to say it…so trueIs that any different from some posters here who think Mazi is the God-sent answer to the interior defense?
agreed. lets just get one. its easy from what I hearMahomes would win a SB with this team.
Yes, agreed. Much as I think Dak has enough talent to win a SB, albeit just barely, it's the same situation as we discussed with Jason Garrett, at some point you have to bite the bullet and say no more, it's time for a change...I agree. This should be a do or die season for Dak. This team is too good to waste it.
This^^^^^^IMO if he gets us to the title game this season, he'll get the long-term extension, but if he struggles it can go either way. I can see both sides disagreeing on his value for an extension. In other words, Stephen and Jerry may see his max value in the $45M range but Dak and his may want closer to $50M.I agree they have to extend but adding 1 additional year would be sufficient. I see them going in that direction if Dak sucks this season. Soonest we’ll see Dak cut is 2025.
On the other hand, if he gets us to a title game in the next two seasons, he’ll get a 5 year extension.
Exactly......Yes, agreed. Much as I think Dak has enough talent to win a SB, albeit just barely, it's the same situation as we discussed with Jason Garrett, at some point you have to bite the bullet and say no more, it's time for a change...

Agreed...No if, and or but......this IS a crossroad year for this team.......

49ers, Eagles Among 11 NFL Teams With Closing Super Bowl Windows
Heading into the 2023 season, the Bengals and Chiefs are the only two contenders that don’t need to worry about competing for championships for years to come.

8. Dallas Cowboys
The window might be closing fast on the Cowboys with quarterback Dak Prescott in the third year of a four-year extension. Prescott would have helped his contract situation in January had he delivered a postseason victory against the 49ers in the divisional round, where so many Cowboys seasons have abruptly ended since the glory years of the 1990s. Dallas hasn’t advanced to an NFC championship game since ’95, and have won only two playoff games since Prescott became the starter in 2016.
The Cowboys, who released running back Ezekiel Elliott in March, have reached a crossroads and will need to decide whether Prescott has what it takes to take them to the Super Bowl. This might be a make-or-break season for Prescott, but the Cowboys could be reluctant to start a full rebuild and give him a short-term contract, similar to what the Vikings have done with Cousins.
But with a strong nucleus of players featuring edge rusher Micah Parsons and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys shouldn’t be afraid to explore other options if Prescott doesn’t deliver this season.
Wait a second, let me go ask Jimmy...I never get this thinking. So if the team wins we re-sign Dak. If they lose let him go lol….ultimately the goal is to win a SB and it’s up for this team ti determine if they are close to doing that with Dak or without. But either way that’s not defined by whether or not he gets to the NFCG.
I watch what that player actually accomplishes before announcing: Attention...fuera!But…but… QBs don’t win by themselves says the drooling Dak idiot
I think you might be right.I highly doubt the Bengals fans are talking about cutting Burrows if he doesnt win the SB soon.
There's only 2 kinds of teams in the NFL.No if, and or but......this IS a crossroad year for this team.......
