I'll be pretty livid if they "figure out a way" to get Manziel.

If he falls to you, great. Take him. But continuing to chase players will only show me that this FO will never change.

Remember this -- Over and over again Jerry has made it clear that generating revenue and national exposure is as important as is winning. The circus of Johnny Football being drafting and playing for the Cowboys would increase both revenue and exposure to unprecedented levels.

That's why this is a possible.

Eh you're not completely wrong, but if the reason for bringing in Johnny Football is media exposure why isn't Tim Tebow here right now?

If they go after JF that means that Romo is done, he'll likely retire and return some of his bonus.;)

Things have deteriorated to the point where fans are marking the front office down for draft rumors that haven't even happened now. NFL Draft, can you please hurry up and get here so we can start complaining about the actual picks? Complaining about the imaginary ones is losing its entertainment value for me. Which is surprising, given what a sensible pastime it seemed to be when we first thought of it.

I think JJ believes he can play the 3 technique, a bit undersized but they say he can get up field!

I was just thinking this. Either Romo is in bad shape, or they want competition to push Romo. Or, maybe they are trying to stir up, someone offering them a boat load for a trade?

It has nothing to do with any of that. It's all about the marketing. Jerry see's nothing but $$ signs in signing Joh$$y Manziel.

Take it for what it´s worth, although most would not like it, I´d love it :)
Saying that, I doubt it happens.

Johnny Manziel has been one of the favorites in the discussion of what the Houston Texans will do with the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick.

But the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner might end up with the other team in Texas.

According to a report by ESPNCleveland.com, CBS Sports NFL announcer Jim Nantz says he has heard that the Cowboys will do whatever it takes to bring Johnny Football to Dallas.

"I've heard this rumor for a month -- the Cowboys will figure out a way to get Manziel," Nantz told ESPNCleveland.com. "Wherever Manziel goes, there is going to be more clamoring about Johnny Manziel than there would be about Blake Bortles going No. 1 or (Jadeveon) Clowney going No. 1, or anyone else. This is a guy that there's just a tremendous interest in everything he does."

Coy not directed at you but I don't care how much we covet him going from 16-2 would take at LEAST two number 1's and probably two more picks if you look at RG III's going rate and they only moved a few spots.

But even if - If we did that does anybody have confidence in the organization to maximize our remaining picks left over the next three years to make us competitive?

We would be must see TV I get that but the goal isn't a ratings grab its a Super Bowl...

Or is it.

I am not against picking a QB in the draft to groom. But picking that QB would be a huge mistake.
