SI: "His absence could wound this club more deeply than it realizes."

thank you my fiend. You half a way with words than i asprie to.

Now, I understand, what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now...

Don't correct the man- he is ahead of our time.
A Van Gogh of message boards. Just wait til he sends WoodysGirl an ear...

thank you, pal. he just want to make me cry. but the fact remain that murray led the nfl, we cant wait to get rid of him and for me the world is turned upside down and now i am worried that the australians will fall off the earth.

One doesn't mean the other suffers.
It's a zero sum salary cap. If you are backing up the truck for Murray someone else isn't getting paid.

I'm not willing to gamble on probably after seeing what Dallas has currently on the roster that does work.

I am. I think you are grossly over-valuing chemistry vs. talent, and I think you are taking a big gamble on Murray's health given his history and the workload they put on him last season.

I also think we have a big opportunity to draft a top tier back this year and let him grow with this young OL too. Re-signing Murray feels like settling for the known instead of trying to set up for the future.

OK, BUT I AM NOT CUTTING OF MEINE EAR!!!!

Murray won't be back unless he comes on the major cheap.

All you have to look at is Randle's production when he replaced Murray to reveal how the offensive line is the real key to our running game. Add to that the fact that there is a pretty good chance Murray won't make it through 2015 without some type of injury, and I say there is no way he is worth a 7 million plus per year contract.

I, personally, don't think the organization wants him back. I think they would prefer someone offer him a big contract so they can move on to a cheaper option without losing face. They realize they got away with one in 2014 and that Murray will never repeat that performance again, and probably won't make it through the season injury free (for the most part) again.

When you begin labeling people, then stating they will never understand whatever it is you seem to do, I have to ask myself how you are so certain. You have been one of the bigger proponents to rid this team of Murray. You back all the bunk tossed around about drop off and injury, as if these things mean anything in the future. They are fans opinions based on stats which are not one size fits all.

Now your risk reward theory.

It's like you and the entire usual suspects seem to have ignored the past years prior to this last season when things came together. It's like you guys seem to believe this is the line only and anyone can do it.

And to all of the people whoi make the claim this is the line I have to ask this.

How many times have you argued with fans of other teams about Emmitt and his stats? That it was ythe line and not Emmitt.

I am not suggesting Murray is Emmitt, but he is THE best back to play here since 22, and a very special part of this offense.

But let's just change what worked for this team because some seem to think they understand talent and chemistry grows on trees.

SPEAKIng of chemistry, Murray is hanging with Romo and Witten. I like that.

I don't think they care about losing face. Jerry certainly doesn't. Didn't they send Ware packing last season?

That's two of us. It's a sad day when Mincey gets caught saying, as long as that offense is on the field we can beat any body.

Get outta my head! That's exactly what I was thinking of when I typed that

Murray is a workhorse back who ran behind a solid o-line. Call me optimistic but I think a workhorse back can be found in this draft.

That is, if he does not re-sign with Dallas after a fair offer.

Ok, mens of the forum. you half spoken and you half spoken well.
Look I might half a big brain but I still half brains i half not used. but i know this: Murray deserve a chance, just like Reba McIntire deserve a chance to go to acting school.
Had Murray turned in a 7-yard season, i would side with the anti-Murrayists.
But I feel he half much to give. With this emerging GREAT O line I feel the best is yet to come (catchy, memo to me: good song title). I half faith jerra will move heaven and eartha kitt to get murray to stay. If we are patient, good things will happen.
I half faith in Murray and I feel he is a good man. And him returning to play with his hand in a cast well, that was great stuff. It made me feel he is a tough and devoted mans too.

I think there is a reason they gave him the ball 450 times this season. It's not like Randle or Dunbar just flopped when they did get a chance to spell him.

If they really do lock him up into a big $$ deal this year than last year's abuse was just dumb.

We all like him. It is just that the fans here seem to think of him as a one-year wonder. Like anybody else could step in and do what he did last year.

And no he wasn't totally healthy last year. As the story state, he broke a bone in his hand and returned the next week.
If we let him go we will roux the day.

Depends who he is replaced with.

If we sign Peterson we might roux for about 15 minutes.

While mathematically you are correct, the front office has decreed they will be efficient in FA./ Meaning they will not break the bank on their purchases, but improve the team.

Your assessment implies that if Muray gets 7 a year, they can do nothing on defense.

1st, Murray may not command 7 a year unless Oakland goers berserk. So Dallas may be in the hunt because of the way things are unfolding. Shady McCoy being traded will have a hand in how this plays out.

2nd even at 7 a year, the team has the money to sign Murray and be judicious with the defense. Improving from 18th, as stated by some here to 13th or 11th may be reachable with no name brands on defense.

You and the others who believe in your theory act as if things are cast in stone. I have no clue where Murray will play next year. But I do know Dallas can keep him and still sign their guys and bolsters the defense enough to give it teeth.

Then allow the offense to do what they do and keep the ball away from the other team, score points, and keep the pressure on.

That aspect seems to be pushed aside a great deal. I've been following this game for a very long time and have never seen that in the FA era wherew the head coach andf QB go to sporting events with a FA RB.

We don't need an 1800 yd back. We need a better defense so we dont have to run our number 1 rb into the ground like we did with Murray. That RB whomever it is needs to be accounted for on every play he's in the game. If its a back that can give you 1000-1200 yds on the ground with a solid 4.2-4.5 ypc, Im more than fine with that. Especially if that RB is 7x cheaper than Murray. This is the deepest RB draft in years. Im confident there are at least 5 RBs who can step in and do a more thsn acceptable job as a lead back. Maybe more than that.

Murray is NOT the Dallas Cowboys. If he leaves, we will move on without him.
We've done it with every other Cowboy. We'll do it with him.
