CFZ Signing LVE this off-season vs Signing Bobby Wagner

Total tackles is pretty irrelevant, considering both the types of games they've played and what they're asked to.
 
Will say it was one bad game this young season but it was shades of our last 2 PO games against the Niners. D couldn’t stops 11 Grannies on the ground and the O doing nothing for 4 quarters.

Not irrelevant across an entire career.
  • Wagner Career stats: Twice led the league in tackles, had 150 or more tackles 8 times, has 13 INTs, 29.5 sacks in 12 seasons.
  • LVE career stats: Has only had 1 season of 100 tackles or more (his rookie season), has 3 INTs, 3 sacks in 5 seasons.

Ok but we're not talking about their entire career. I'm not saying LVE has had a better career than Bobby Wagner lol.

Or even that he's better right now. Just that, over 3 games, its a pointless metric.
 
We need a thumper MLB in the first in next year's draft.

I don’t think Jerry is terrible, I think it’s Stephen and Mcclay doing the most from a personnel standpoint (Acting as GMs). My concern has and will always be accountability. When you’re the boss you can never fire yourself. Will McClay gets paid to not be the GM but do the work of one and make Jerry look good. I don’t like the infrastructure of the organization. I like GMs and coaches that can get fired. Jason Garret lasted till 2019 when he should have been fired after the 2015 season.
 
I clearly wanted Dallas to get Wagner and get rid of this LVE cancer off the team. Wagner was not finished yet and still had a couple good years left in him which would also help this defense. LVE is jus LVE.....lots of nothing, and no impact. Does not make the defense better at all.

I think we have bigger issues on D other than 55. Not saying he has been great, but we have other issues. Gap discipline, pursuit angles, assignment understanding, execution and overall effort are much bigger issues IMO.

Unless you want to move Micah to MLB he’s about as good as you’ll get. LVE played a terrible game last week but overall he’s been excellent going back to last season. The biggest issue I saw last week was how slow he was to react due to the constant misdirection ran by Arizona. The idea that he’s old and physically slow is simply false though. The guy runs amazing for a guy at 6’4” 250. He runs with TEs up the seam and covers backs about as well as you can.

Awful game on Sunday? Absolutely and you won’t get an argument from me there. If we are judging people off of just Sunday though you need to upgrade half the team.
