Would you be willing to change any of your answers which the consideration that Dallas has only been in existence since 1960?

Well, yeah lol...not liking it, but the Cowboys have been the more successful franchise since 1960. But the Skins did have some league success before the Cowboys existence, and most Skins fans take some pride in that fact (along with the Commanders players of that era who made their indelible mark on the league). Only thing we disown from that earlier era is the racist attitudes of owner Marshall.

Please.... don't give me that stupid ***, moronic "league championship" garbage.

No one except idiot Commanders fans consider that a valid argument.

Yeah, let's count stuff from back when there were only a couple of teams playing. Please. Go sell that stupidity elsewhere.

So, to correct that moronic drivel:

In terms of Super Bowl victories? True.

In terms of Super Bowl appearances? True.

In terms of head-to-head records? True.

In terms of head-to-head records in the playoffs? False.

In terms of division titles? True.

Why stop there? Why not count their perfect record from before the NFL existed? Back in 19-ought-8 before the APFA, Des Parate McReach and his friend Stew---the predecessors to the modern era Commanders--played football games against neighborhood gerbils and won the Grand Championship of the Universe trophy 100 times. Why don't we count that?

Or.... we could do the reasonable thing and count the Modern Era after the merger when we have the Super Bowl that reasonable agree to count as a measure of success.

Quit parroting the Idiot Commanders fans' pathetic attempts at rationalization.
We're the Commanders! We can win *championships* any time there is a strike or before a lot of teams join the league and make it all hard to win and stuff.

It's funny how Giant, Eagle and Cowboy fans on all major messageboards are universal in agreement about Skin fan after another blowout preseason win. (against one of the NFL's worse teams)

We've all heard it before.

LOL!...Once again, the ol' Cowboys fan arrogance rears its ugly head. "Nothing that happened in the league before the Cowboys entered it holds any value or relevance!"

It's one reason I enjoy talking football with fans of many other teams over fans of Dallas...their football mindset resides outside their own franchise's existence.

Yeah, let's count stuff from back when there were only a couple of teams playing. Please. Go sell that stupidity elsewhere.
Yeah, good point...what the hell are we even thinking when we include players from that era in the HOF or when we still list league records set in that era!! To acknowledge any of it is...what word did you use again?...Oh yeah, "stupidity"!! How stupid of anyone to think the players and teams and their accomplishments before the Cowboys came into town should hold any value whatsoever. I've seen the light.

Is this really the best retort you could scrounge up? lol...Really?

Or.... we could do the reasonable thing and count the Modern Era after the merger when we have the Super Bowl that reasonable agree to count as a measure of success.
Or...we could count the accomplishments of all NFL franchises during their entire time while--wait for it--in the NFL lol...crazy talk, I know.

Something tells me that if the Cowboys HAD won a league championship before the Super Bowl era, you'd have zero problem acknowledging it as worthy of consideration and praise. ;)

Not crazy talk. Just stupid talk.

So when comparing teams that are part of a rivalry, only an abject moron would attempt to use a metric that pre-dated the rivalry.

Hypothetically, suppose you were considering which team was the superior team of the rivalry. Suppose Team A won 100 games before Team B joined the league. After Team B joined the league, Team B defeated Team A every single time they played for a head to head record of 60-0.

Now considering which team was the better team, who in their right mind would say A? No one. Team B would be the superior team as between the two rivals. Pointing to what Team A accomplished before Team B joined the league would be laughable if Team A lost to Team B every time. It makes no sense.

Similarly, it makes no sense to try to call a "championship" before there was a real NFL a championship that is equal to winning the Super Bowl in the Modern Era and then using that false equivalence to compare two teams that are in rivalry.

Fact remains, that as long as the rivalry has existed, the Cowboys are the superior franchise. And the fact that you have to try to find support before the rivalry existed to avoid that inevitable conclusion goes to show how pathetic you are as a Commanders fan.

And don't give this moronic bull**** about how this only a Cowboys perspective.

Go look at NFL.com that publishes records for Super Bowls... and doesn't include the "NFL championship" bull****.

You would think if they really are the same deal the NFL would give them equal credence. But guess what? The NFL doesn't. The NFL only consider Super Bowls as championships. Don't believe me? Go look on NFL.com. Here's a link: http://www.nfl.com/history

Guess what? The NFL doesn't consider those old things as championships on their own page. The NFL does not attribute that as an accomplishment in their records. They only attribute Super Bowls.

So I say your full of ****. And so does the NFL.

But that won't stop an idiot Commanders fans from arguing a fact that no reasonable person accepts.

So take your stupidity elsewhere. It's disgustingly pathetic that you cannot admit that at a team that owns you in head to head matchups, and the team that has more legitimate championships by the NFL's own standards, is not a superior team. It goes to show how intellectually dishonest... OR.... outright STUPID that you are.

Again, the NFL doesn't count it an accomplishment. I included links to the NFL own history and records pages which only counts Super Bowls. It has nothing to do with a "Cowboys perspective". It's the perspective of the whole damn league.

The only idiots who count it are pathetic Commanders.

Get owned, *****. Just like the Commanders.

Snyder does fall back on that because he knows he has the stupidest fanbase who will buy up anything he serves.

But another thing Snyder does is try to copy Jerry Jones. He is obsessed with Jerry Jones. He is desperate to emulate him.

Taylor was supposed to be his Roy Williams (who at the time they drafted Taylor was a big deal with lots of press)

Zorn was supposed to be his Jason Garrett (former NFL QB turned QB coach turned OC... and at the time, Jason G was the hottest thing in coaching). (And he tried to get Rex Ryan to be his DC so he'd have his 3-4 guru like Wade three years ago.)

3rd round Cooley his 3rd round Witten.

When we went to a 2 Tight end base offense, Snyder wanted to as well.

Orakpo his Ware.

He had to get new TV screens in the stadium because of Jerry's jumbotron.

He had to get a 3-4 defense.

He wanted Shannahan because he knew Jerry liked him.

And on and on and on.

The guy is obsessed with Jones and the Cowboys. He is desperate to try to be Jerry.
This is the dumbest thing I've read in at least a month.

Honestly, I haven't laughed so hard in a while

Snyder hired the son of his HC as OC, well because Jerry's son works for him as GM! Yes thats it. Need some family ties in the organization

The Commanders are going to attempt a 3 headed monster at RB because well the Cowboys do!

The Commanders will have one starting TE who is white, and one who is black in their 2 TE set. The Cowboys got Whitten and Bennet, one white guy and one black guy at TE!

Here is one. After Snyder took over the team he renamed the stadium from Jack Kent Cooke Stadium to Commanders stadium until the naming rights were sold. He did this because he knew a decade later Jerry would build a new stadium, and wait for it, call it Cowboys stadium!!!!!

:laugh2: :laugh2: :lmao:

I have read some moronic posts here, but that one has had me laughing since the late afternoon. I have bookmarked it so I can go back and laugh at it.

Who pretends it doesn't exist?

Marshall was a racist. It is very obvious reading the historical accounts of him. His treatment of blacks was shameful and disgraceful.

You are talking about a guy who has been dead for 40 years. People have fading memories of the Gibbs 1 era. There aren't nearly as many fans that vividly remember the George Preston Marshall era. Basically anyone 50 or over would have a memory of him

My question stands. He said "disown." How do you disown it?

To me, the only way to do that would be to do the honorable thing and change the mascot name. It is racist. Denying that is silly. As long as you cling to the name, you own the past.
