I doubt you ever met the guy...still I understand being sad about it...but the way some of you are talking its like the world has ended...I for one am tired of it...go ahead tell me I dont get it, tell me I am insensitive and don't have a heart...but your post (and others) are annoying in their level of drama and I am tired of having a new one come up every few minutes.
Taylor would say don't let them complete a single pass...
Hey, I understand what you are saying to an extent... the board is a different color, you have new crazy Commanders fans and Cowboy fans are getting along with the Commanders... it's like a full moon for some of you guys. I get that. For many of us Commanders fans, things will never be the same in regards to how we view Cowboys fans. It truly has meant that much. But do I think that all of this was done, and said just to make Commanders fans feel better? Of course not. I think the majority of the people I have seen post have done so because they feel it in their guts, they feel it in their hearts... they know that not only did the NFL lose a great young athlete that was just coming into the world, but someone that we watch every week (regardless of the team) is gone... someone who made the game more interesting, is forever gone. Many people have followed him since college, and while they may not pull for the Commanders, they still admire him and the way he plays the game. The man died yesterday, and I'm fairly certain things will be back to normal around here very soon... but I think right now, true fans of the great sport itself, are just mourning losing this man. It doesn't matter what team he played for, it's so much more than the game, or the burgandy and gold... and I for one have been forever touched by the kind words said on this board. I have been sent private messages from Cowboys fans that just wanted to say kind words. It's just random acts of kindness that make you think a little more about things. Had this been Roy Williams, I can guarantee you that you would have this giant pit in your stomach, choke back the tears, and feel like you had lost a friend... regardless of if you knew him or not, we live for our teams... we love our teams, we love the players, you don't have to personally know any of them to grieve the loss. My best friend is a huge Cowboys fan and lives in Dallas, he didn't say one word to me when this happened, I received more support from THIS site than people I know and love, that is a credit to everyone on this site.
That said, again, I understand where you are coming from... but I am also very thankful, and for the first time EVER in my 36 years, I can say that I hope the Cowboys kick some serious tail tomorrow... Horror of all horrors, I won't be grief stricken if they even win the super bowl.
