15 for 24 and 345 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 Int for a (2nd Edit to fix rating) 128.472 qb rating. (EDIT: He ran for one too) That is just plain sick no matter what defense you are playing.:

This is true. Scoring 5TDs in a game is down-right sick. While we all are so happy that he performed this well. Remember, this is his second game with 5TDs in less than what would be a full season. (16 games)

The media's Cowboys bias is laughable. They say "he will be an OK QB, but not a great (or elite) QB" is a joke. Without question, Romo has incredible skill, and tie that to the talent on the field and he is clearly one of the most explosive QBs in the league.

Campbell struggled for a long time before finally having a great Sr. year when Auburn brought in a new OC who ran a very simple offense built around Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown and play action passing.

I thought he would struggle with the complexities of an NFL offense and NFL defenses due to those issues as well as his accuracy.

On the positive side for him, he is a high character guy. Much different than Q.

campbell, as i understand it, played under 4 different OC's as a starter in college, and last year was the second O he had to learn in the NFL.

i really like campbell, and i wouldnt say that if i didnt. he's progressed well. now, the miami game- moss had a very un-moss like game. he dropped at least 2 passes that hit him right in the hands. his first INT was not a good pass, but the second one i can't put on him. lloyd had one on one coverage and was seen as giving up early on the pass, allowing the defender to get behind him and picking it off. apparently, he didnt make much of an effort to tackle the miami defender either. this guy needs to step up.

miami also has a pretty good D, too. the skins kept cooley in to block, so there went another nice target. campbell had about 2-3 intermediate passes that sailed on him- he did that at times last year. im not surprised with campbells performance, but i do expect him to have better numbers in the next few weeks, esp vs the giants. i think he'll be good.

I counted eight excuses made for Campbell. Does that ever get old?

Some of the posters on ES are sensible, but they're in the minority. The biggest idiots over there are Bubba and TR1. TR1 would find faults with Romo if he was 30 for 30 with 500 yards and 6 TDs. He takes Dallas envy to a new level. He's so jealous of us that it's ridiculous. About 95% of his posts refer to Dallas. He rarely even posts about the Skins. As I've said before: TR1 = Rock with Eyebrows!!!!!

I never said the ball was slick either.

I also didn't say the excuses weren't legitimate. Sometimes they are. I just asked if you ever get tired of making them for Campbell.

I believe the pass rush will improve with Ratliff at NT along with Spencer getting better each week.

*Here's to hoping Ellis can return because that got really came on as a OLB last year...

Banned me as well. Basically ES is a cesspool. They do not want to talk football with any other fans. They exist for two simple reasons. To praise everything the Skins do and to talk trash about the Cowboys. That's pretty much it, so I don't really care that I was banned. Nothing of any substance is ever posted there. They're nothing but a bunch of cheerleaders acting like 4 year olds. Hope they enjoy it.

yup.... just check out the ages of some of the posters. Comical stuff!

I'll give them credit... their "look a like" threads are pretty darn good!

Where's the excuse? I was talking about the ball. Why don't you quote the rest?

Romo has been holding kicks for years, he should have been used to it.
Did you miss that part? That's called blaming Romo for his bobbled snap. Not making excuses.

lmao...after watching Campbell for an entire 60 minutes, he needs all the excuses he can get. That boy is not any good.

Here's what he can do - chuck it to Randle El. He can also overthrow Brandon Lloyd and Santana Moss even if they're wide open, and throw it behind Moss over the middle.

Things are looking bright in the nation's capital. :laugh2:

Romo sat and watch for 3 years, so I would think he would be ahead of Campbell, plus Campbell really didn't play in a passing offense at Auburn.

Plus, while at Auburn, he couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the c and the t.

Sunday was the first time I actually spent some time watching him. He didn't look great - he has a while to go.

That being said, I'm impressed with the coaching staff. I think they are well aware of what they have, and protect him very, very well. Good way to let a QB grow.

I was banned as well...we had a nice above board debate going...then they said something about all the world events that occured since the Cowboys last won a playoff game....and I mentioned the strike shortened season where the SKins won 2 of there 3 Super Bowls...and you would have thought I shot the president....I was attacked by everyone...then banned

I think some of you are being too rough on campbell. He is obviously not at Romo's level now but I can see why Skin fans are excited about his future. I like his composure and he is a big guy in that pocket. Accuracy is spotty but I think the Skins won't ask him to carry them this year and try to limit his mistakes. They will rely heavily on the running game and hope the defense is more like '05 rather than '06. They will ask Campbell to make big plays down the field after softening the defense up with the run game. He needs to play better then he did against the Dolphins though. I expect he will have some very good games and some poor games but won't be asked to carry the team early on his career.

He does show some nice potential long term though. Who knows with QBs' though. It is a crapshoot.
