Yeah when the Cowboys took Zeke #4 overall they should have committed to the style of play that maximized HIS skillset. When they decided to shift into maximizing Dak's skillset, even before it had fully developed, they should have traded Zeke the next day.. as THIS reporter stated 4 years ago.. They never should have paid Zeke top money if they were just going to hand him the rock 15 times a game. They drafted him to be dominant.. Hard to be dominant on 15 totes a game especially if half of them are the damn delay draw up the gut. He aint built for that. He's built to attack the line of scrimmage downhill. When they stopped doing that on 80+% of his carries, he stopped being worth the money.. That's the simple fact of the matter.. I will never be mad at Zeke for getting his money.. but I can be mad at the Cowboys for not allowing him to earn it.

Again agree on all front. KM should look at some old Ohio State film of how Meyer was running the rock with Zeke. Get some plays. Obviously not as explosive up field anymore but he was a smooth hipped 1 or two cut and break upwards back. If collision was on its way, he laid it to you or jumped over you. He showed a bit of it the other game before his knew got popped. They're showing some different running plays the last 2 games, so lets see what this offense wants to do.

I don't care who is listed as RB1. All that matters is how they are utilized.

Pollard told you himself in that article "Coach I'm done.. I got nothin left.. " That was after 30 snaps.. THIRTY.. The offense is generally on the field for between 60 and 70 snaps.. Who's going to man the backfield those other 30-40 snaps? Can you imagine how Pollard would have felt after another 10-12 carries? And there will be games where the lead back will be asked to do just that.. as well as blitz pickup another 10-12 times. The Zeke hate is simply not rational. If his body is letting him down from carrying the load then so be it.. Cowboys fans should thank him.. not cheer for him to be ushered out the exit before the plane even gets to the gate.

30 is sufficient. For Tony, make it 25 per game.
How many carries did the lad have Sunday?
How many yards?
Your trembling is for naught.

And believe me, chap, no one will cheer Sequel's exit.
Maybe lots of shrugs.

I agree. The contract was too generous though and it happened because of the Todd Gurley contract prior. Then CMC got his after Zeke's. We need to understand as an organization, the days of the # 22's don't go on for more than 5 to 6 years at the position anymore.

Our front office does not have the professional skill set to make the proper judgments you referred to.

He is right with his explanation. But that still doesn't answer why they can't use Pollard first and have Zeke can in and pound the ball later. Frankly, this offense works way better with Pollard. He doesn't need to pound the ball 20-25x a game. He can run the ball 15x a game and we can be that controlled, passing offense that made us rank #1 last year.

The days of Zeke being the focal point of this offense is long gone. He can come off the bench and spell Pollard.

So you build on those 30 snaps a bit every week until he reaches the playoffs and has peak endurance.

One is making a boat load and one is making near zero. The owners want to justify paying "their" guy at all costs, to the point of even if it means losing, it seems. Paying a RB is stupid.
For understanding.......only minimum wage should apply?

If pollard is having a 30-35 max of snaps I’m good with that number

zeke is probably not a whole lot more I’m good with that as well.

they both impact the game in different ways but pollard definitely provides the spark that zeke doesn’t or at least not as much

I honestly thought that Davis was impactful with his snaps as well. I’m not a zeke fan by any stretch but his contract ain’t my money I don’t care

we are gonna need to pay Tony to keep him so I guess the draft will be seeing another rb

I think that should be norm for them draft rbs and or qbs every 3 years

the cowboys compound their mistakes by not designing an offense that suits both of these guys and that’s too bad as 1 or both of them are gone after this year
