Skip wants Cowboys to lose the next 5 games

How about we’re basically one game out of being tied for the division, let’s try actually winning it before throwing in the towel like a bunch of quitting sissy losers?

You might need to change the batteries in that calculator you are using.

Skins are 5-3...…….…..we are 3-5 with a loss to them...………..that comes to 2.5 games out of first, not "basically one game".

math is hard.

lol how are any cowboys fans fairweather fans? The team has sucked for over 2 decades. Kids have been born and possibly finished college the last time the cowboys have won anything. Over the last 20 years, we've won what, 2 or 3 playoff games? How can anyone that has suffered through all of that be a fairweather fan? More like they are smart fans getting tired of being fed turd sandwiches by Jerry Jones who absolutely refuses to change course. Teams have literally won the superbowl, fell off and rebuilt during the time we last did anything. There's a difference between the team having a couple of bad 'rebuild' years and in being in perpetual mediocrity for decades and the "GM/Owner" refusing to do anything about it.
Yeah, that whole notion of that Philly prick calling us a bunch of fair weather fans is nonsense. There would be a very small base left after 22 years without even a divisional win,and a small handful of playoff trips if that were the case.

This fan base is so bi polar. This same crap happened last year half way through the season. We lose...tank. Next week we win...we can getva WC! Next week we lose...tank. Following week...tank. Next week...we can still win!

It’s nauseating.

Dont worry bro, aint nobody going to be talking about the playoffs no more.

Losing at home to the sorry arse Titans took care of that.

Nobody worth knowing cares what Skip Bayless says or thinks. And nobody who knows sports thinks the time to tank is after you've given away the draft pick that would've benefited from that tanking.

:lmao2:

Its tanking to get a new head coach, not a draft pick...………...not sure what is so hard to understand about that.

I would give up the number one overall pick in next years draft if it meant getting rid of Garrett.

But hey, maybe you like one playoff win every 9 years.

Dunno, I shared because I thought it was newsworthy that the media seems to be turning on Garrett so sharply this year.

I won't root for losses, It's just been disappointing so far this year.

Losing out gets us nothing honestly. No 1st round pick to look forward to, and I don't know if Jerry can fire JG.

Karma even got Skip calling for Garrett to crash and burn publicly.. it’s about time for all the politics this guy played and media he hid behind...

TO must be chuckling now...

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

real fans dont pray for their team to lose regardless of the situation.. no need to be overly positive im not saying I cant wait for Jerry to hire a GM and get a better coaching staff in here but I will not pull for losses or tanking..sorry im not taking the bait..im no pom pom waver im die hard fan that cant stand to see us lose..

How about not telling other fans if they are "real or not".

If a fan wants to lose every game so the team will hire a new head coach because the current head coach has proven over a decade that he is a loser, who the hell are you to tell that fan he is not a "real fan"?

"Real fans" want their teams to win or to at least try. Real fans don't want to see great players careers thrown down the drain because we have the most backwards front office in the league who allowed the backup quarterback who got beat out by our starter to immediately be quarterback coach. We don't want to see a head coach mangle and ruin more talent. If losing gets rid of Garrett, then by all means, it's time to lose.
Apparently these homers would just rather wave the pom poms and watch Garrett botch games for another decade

I prefer "big picture" thinking and if losing now will facilitate winning later, then by all means lets lose.

Is Garrett getting fired a benefit to you? Wake up.
If his replacement drafts poorly, as half of Jerry's coaching hires have, it will be cost, not benefit.
We're tanking to get rid of Garrett or shall we let him throw more historic careers down the drain? Romo, Witten, Ware, Dez, Murray, Bailey and Sean Lee weren't enough?
The problem: Your argument about needing better coaches to avoid wasting good players ignores the reality that our ability to load up with good players in the first place historically relies on the coach we've hired. Because the Joneses are trash, so our roster construction relies on the head coach swaying us towards competence. Half of the their head coaching hires drafted like absolute garbage and set us back, quickly throwing away the progress the last good drafter made. Throwing away one who drafts well isn't smart.

By the way, the next head coach is likely to demand to pick his own staff too, so firing Garrett likely costs us Kris Richard, who's overseen the strides our defense has made. Probably not smart either.

As much as I try to rationalize tanking, I just don't understand it or have it in me.
It's not so bad.

There's nobody left from the extended family to gift the job to. If nothing else, that has to change. When they make this change, the Joneses are going to have to be uncomfortable, because the next coach will have a multi-year contract and the influence that comes with it. Jerry Jones isn't going to hire some guy on a short term deal and quickly Fire him and have to pay him.

You might be standing on the precipice of the start of a new way of doing things, and a goodbye to the puppets once and for all.
I honestly don’t see anything changing until Jerry is gone. I really don’t. Because people that age don’t change. You just saw what he did...paid it “forward” again on a losing horse.

A very high 2nd rounder.

As long as they run the draft the way it is we'll see more and more of what teams like the Raiders are doing. They need to introduce a separate lottery for the bottom 20 picks. That would put an end to tanking.

Would be Freaking Fantastic, Lets tank for the QB in the 2019 Draft...Oh Wait!

The main argument you see against Jerry is that he wants all the credit for building a winner.

My question is if this is true, does he not see what goes on in New England on a weekly basis? Does he not see how much time Bob Kraft gets mentioned or shown on TV? How much credit he gets for the success of the pats.

Your telling me Jerry Jones is that jealous that Jimmy Johnson gets some of the credit for those Super Bowls. So he's willing to knowingly hire lesser "yes" type coaches who will do anything he says in hopes one day things will stick and he'll be proven right?

Love Jerry's passion for winning. Always have. However its really nauseating to think with the talent we've had over the years we could have won a SB or two. With the proper coaching. Our owner won't let it happen.

Oh great, it's the typical who's a real fan argument again.

How about stop worrying how other people are fans of a team? We all want what's best for the Cowboys in the end, it's just that we all don't think the same way about HOW to achieve that.
