Costco + Holidays = Screw Atkins and the horse he rode in on.
That aisle they set up with all of the candy and cookies is what my wife and I used to call Willpower Alley.
ABQ, never said I passed it. I matriculated the gauntlet of glorious gastronomy as a happy failure. However, I did get the nods of admiration from other men at the check out stand. In fact, at the Costco in Plano, I am certain that there are two young men still in awe of my shopping prowess and not having one item "good for me". I am Costco legend. And the fact that I still have my original heart only serves to feed that legend.Well Coach, I would have to say that I failed that particular course.
The process of making the toffee is from the original English recipe, according to the owner. Now, he didn't talk with that "we're smarter than a bunch of pickup truck riding morons with a "watch this" every hour" but he did seem to know his stuff. This stuff is special, I'd take credit for it if I were British and blame my teeth on it.Exactly how is it English?
Don't get Me wrong, if it's nice, We'll happily take the credit, I'm just puzzled about what exactly We've done to deserve it.
That's cool, We'll grab the credit if Y'all insist. The process of making the toffee is from the original English recipe, according to the owner. We know.I do enjoy a good Clubcracker.
We know.
Love pork rinds..but it's hard going back to bagged ones if you've got em fresh, place in Louisiana past lake Charles off I10 and a place on 45 between houston and Dallas has some good ones, actually chipped a molar on some on my way to a cowboy game.ha. HEB has some good ones baggedI'm a chipsaholic, love all kinds of chips, but my favorite used to be Zapps Hotter Than Hot Jalapeno Chips, kettle cooked in peanut oil, but somewhere along the way they changed the jalapeno recipe and aren't as good as they used to be. I love kettle cooked chips, but some brands use way too much salt. I love Cape Cod Kettle Chips, just the original or lightly salted are go-to's.
Pork Rinds and Chicharrones are great, especially the spicy ones with a couple drops of Tabasco, Louisiana Hot Sauce or Cholula. Jalapeno crunchy Cheetos, Chili Cheese Fritos, Funyuns are all great too.
Rold Gold Cheddar Pretzel Twists are awesome. Lots of cheese flavor, but they're not coated in cheese dust, the cheese is baked into the pretzels....all the flavor without the orange fingers.
I can sense a country song in that story. Check the country charts in a few months for the "Cracked my molar on the way to a Cowboys game" song. Then we can ponder who's avatar the country singer is hiding under.Love pork rinds..but it's hard going back to bagged ones if you've got em fresh, place in Louisiana past lake Charles off I10 and a place on 45 between houston and Dallas has some good ones, actually chipped a molar on some on my way to a cowboy game.ha. About a month ago, my cousin and her husband visited a brought pork rinds that you pop in the microwave. They thought those were the best snack ever. All I tasted was grease.I'm a chipsaholic, love all kinds of chips, but my favorite used to be Zapps Hotter Than Hot Jalapeno Chips, kettle cooked in peanut oil, but somewhere along the way they changed the jalapeno recipe and aren't as good as they used to be. I make homemade almond toffee that is addicting as hell, I started giving it out form Christmas a few years ago and now so many people expect it, I'm making close to 200 pounds a year. I'll reserve some for myself and I cannot stop eating it, the after taste lingers and the next thing you know, I'm going back for more.
I did a twist and made the toffee with a matzo cracker on the bottom and then sprinkle some Maldons sea salt on top and its even better
Sweet Tarts? I'm never trick or treating in Wyoming!
