Meanwhile Jones' cover ability is quite strong and he's a good sound tackler. Without Jones, we would be just as screwed as we are without Lee.

The problem is that we are poor at SS and we use Byron to due the dirty work like cover the top WR's and top TE's by himself. That should put the SS in good position to make plays, but Heath is a backup level talent and Woods probably isn't a SS, but is too green anyway.

You won't find many people outside of Dallas fans who think Jones is playing better than Collins.

The excuse making for Jones is laughable. The idea that he's irreplaceable like Lee is hilarious.

Well I was making a point....what if the Cowboys screwed up the draft and liked Apple more than Ramsey? Or what if the Chargers had taken Ramsey and we wanted a corner and took Eli Apple? You guys want to play this what if game when it applies on picks we missed but you never play the what if game on picks we actually made lol.

Came in here to post this exact thing. When Dallas quit ignoring the SEC defensive players year in and year out, is when this organization will minimize its margin of error when it comes to NFL draft selections. 8 out of the 11 picks are from the SEC yet we choose to look elsewhere.

I trust not only my own eyes, but the scouts and people that played the position like Matt Bowen, Louis Riddick and Darren Woodson.

The only thing laughable is your argument that 'you won't find many people outside of Dallas' and you don't back up who these people are unless they are talking heads who claim that Eli is better than Dak. You can have 'em.

The talking heads are saying Eli needs to be replaced next year by a first round QB. Talking heads are still in love with Dak.

The point was kind of funny in that the debate was always Elliott versus Ramsey and you decided to throw Apple in there. Because in reality, if they had taken a CB there it would have bee Ramsey and we all would be really happy right now considering he's basically a stud CB in his 2nd year.

Riddick liked Jones coming out of college and after his rookie year. Got anything current that says Riddick is playing great?

Jones is a mediocre S. You can continue to believe whatever you want to believe. He's likely a better CB than S at this point, most likely a slot CB lining up on big WRs and TEs.
