So, this is what 3-4 LB's look like?

it's about speed and burst, and Bradie has none
More often it's about angle, recognition, and getting through traffic.

I love watching Troy plow through the line and get the ball carrier. Probably one of my favorite NFL safeties to watch.

Hmmm...I'm sure this has been covered before.

When are some going to learn that tackle stats mean jack?

Adam even admits that they are a completely subjective stat.

Before this game, Bradie James had as many sacks and tackles as both of Pittsburgh's ILBs combined.

and if Bradie doesn' utilize those, he's not getting the tackle
Since he gets a ton of tackles, I'd guess that means he uses them quite a bit then.

am I arguing any of this?

I'm just pointing out that Farrior can do it all and Bradie can't

They're not a perfect stat. At times they're very inaccurate. But on average they're better than nothing.

1. Pressure from both outside 'Backers
2. Sure tackling from the group, both inside and out
3. Special team cover guys w/a punt block
I see the difference betweeen our 'Backers and the Steelers. The way Anthony Spencer played last week and against the Cards before being injured, no doubt he should be starting opposite Demarcus Ware.

I understand that the topic is about defense, but you guys need to focus more on the offensive side of the ball.

The defense needs some time to rest. It doesn't help when the Offense goes 3 and out or when Brad and Brooks throwing INT's on the first few throws. Then, the INT's leads to bad field position.

For the past 4 weeks I've seen no imagination whats so ever from Garrett. Put T.O. in motion, Use T. Choice more, If Adams is hurt replace him til he gets better. I'm not a coach but he should've used all types of gimmick plays, flea flickers or something against the Giants to stay on the field more.

How many times do you see the Pittsburgh drop their best pass rushers back into pass coverage?

Is this a serious question? About as much as every 3-4 team. They don't blitz on every play, which means they're dropping at least one OLB in coverage on a lot of pass plays.

Let's rephrase the question. How many times do you see them drop on obvious passing downs?

Anybody know how many times Pittsburgh sacked Eli last week vs. how many times we did yesterday?

Dallas - 4 sacks in 27 pass attempts.

Pittsburgh - 0 sacks in 32 pass attempts.

Before playing Dallas, Eli had been sacked 4 times all season.

Exactly.

Just wanted to point it out in the midst of all this Pitt 34 worship.

which is funny because Farrior is like 35 years old, and he looks like he could catch a gazelle

Bradie would have trouble catchign a slug

bradie can catch a slug...just have him go to church at 4 in the am with Keith Davis in his impala
