The practice of insulting people has become so prevalent on-line it has practically become a dark sport. A faceless Internet forum somehow allows some people to insult and demean someone they don’t know at all in a way they would never do if the encounter was “face to face”.

As good as the World Wide Web has been to speed up and widen communication, it has also enabled and encouraged a segment of society that finds “owning” someone in an argument somehow aspirational.

It’s on all of us to individually take responsibility for how we interact with people online- here in the Zone specifically.

All true bullet people get used to being able to disrespect one another without any consequences or any consequences of consequence.

I went to the old veterans stadium in Philadelphia and cheered for Roger Staubach and my Cowboys.
I was young then and would throw down in a minute.

Needless to say there is really nothing anyone could say on this forum that could be any worse than what I endured at veterans stadium in the '70s

That said I don't care if I'm banned from the forum benched put on double secret probation or locked up in jail overnight.

Nobody talks smack about Roger Staubach on my watch and gets away with it.

Kindness and respect for others are fading from our society.

And it is not up to others to save them.

The creation of the internet has not improved us but allowed some of the darker sides of people to emerge. They seek their gain through the losses of others.

Fantastic post. We're all Cowboys brethren. We are in this together. Of course we may not always agree on certain topics, but we should always find common ground through respectful dialogue and understanding.

Sorry we are not all Cowboys fans here and there are people here who are misrepresenting themselves. I am fine with the idea that there is no way to prove it given the reality of how IP works but this line that everything is just okay doesn't hold water for me.

I think it would benefit all for you to put "people here who misrepresent themselves" on ignore.

Anyone that calls someone troll....and STILL goes on and on with them....needs to use ignore function.

Otherwise it's a symbiotic relationship.

They play both sides. It's not as simple as that. And I invite contrary opinions, I like to learn.

Despite some peoples weird obscene objections....winning does solve a lot if issues. If we could effectively search our forum....even pappy and michigan liked one of daks early seasons.

Why people think if we win everyone is still miserable....is just dumb. Of course we will be happy....just win...mkay? No talking....be winners.

Great stuff. I’ve tried to evolve a lot more this past year where I can disagree but also kill with kindness. It’s not hard to respect a person and think their comment is silly at the same time . There are really good people here.

We are Learning and growing.

I had the honor of enjoying 3 SB wins of my beloved Cowboys in the first 15 years of my life. Then 30 years of nothingness and draught. Who is able to stay sane during such a long period? So sorry to all Daksters. Heck, if he gets me my personal #4 then I'll hold him dear forever.

My 2cents:

There is a difference between options and agendas.

The biggest problem is members who consistently post about one topic, hijacking threads & conversations towards that topic, & generally not posting thoughtful comments on the topic--rather they are making inflammatory comments that add nothing and ruin interesting threads.
