Last time you got your feelings hurt.

Do you really have anything, or is this just like last time where you said I phantomly root Dallas Cowboy players to fail?

At this point, you can't even really compare Ben to Pacman--color has no relevance. Pacman had a very long history of sordid stuff.

Maybe Kobe and Ben?
The press did seem to come down on Kobe a bit harder than Ben when they both had a clean slate (legally) but were accused of similar offenses. However, I think the fact that Kobe was married and was clearly cheating on his wife made things worse for him.

Pacman is an idiot and would be an idiot regardless of color.

Roflsberger seems to have the same issues.

He is hardly immune to trouble. Those stating this is the first trouble he's had are proving the OP's point. Big Ben has been in trouble himself since college. He does know how to work the good ole boy network as evidenced by his pics with the Georgia officers shortly before having at best inappropriate contact in a public restroom with a young college girl.

The Steelers in general seem to get off light from the Commish. Santonio Holmes is hardly on his first offense either. So I'd say it isn't race but more so connections; especially to Goodell.

The original question is about Ben getting special treatment from the media because he is white?
Is their still racism in America? Come on? Of course. It goes many ways.

But as far as the media goes, I dont really remember hearing much on the national media about Pacman. If they did talk about him it also probably had something to do with the story as much as anything. Profootball player throwing money up in the air and beating up strippers who tried to pick up money. Then getting kicked out and coming back and shooting a man who is now in a wheel chair forever. There is much more shock to that story than Ben's. Ben's story sound like a date rape allegation. Pacman's was something out of a gang movie. Its pretty easy to see which story is more shocking and exciting. Add the 18 other arrest and it gives the media even more to talk about.

Tiger Woods story got so much attention because it was shocking. Multiple women, his wife bashing his back window with his golf clubs, his car accident, his image as a good family man. Plus most of all he went into hiding and checked into a sex addiction clinic.... thats a story.

Ben's is pretty boring compared to those two.

+1 there.

I think the fact so many seem willing to give Ben R a pass after two of these cases says something about them besides racist and it isn't good.

I think people convicting Ben after not really knowing the details says something about them besides racist and it isnt good.

Let him get convicted and then we will say he is a rapist. Or does he not deserve that?

It says people understand that a rich celebrity is a target for an opportunistic women and before we start bashing him we need to see if he is in fact guilty.......but i guess that says bad things about us...hmm

Here is a rap sheet look at all of Pacman’s brushes with the law since joining the NFL’s Tennessee Titans:

Photo: Pacman JonesJuly 13, 2005- Arrested and charged with assault and felony vandalism after a nightclub altercation. This began Pacman Jones NFL rap sheet. He already had a lengthy one from high school and college.

September 5, 2005- Adam was invited to attend the Nashville Sports Council Kickoff Luncheon. Jones went off on a verbal tirade while being told to wait for his car after the event. He then refused to tip the valet service.

October 2005- State of West Virginia filed a petition stating that Jones had not been contacting his probation officer and that he had not reported his July 2005 arrest. The judge extended the probation for just 90 days.

March 23, 2006- Charged with marijuana possession in Fayetteville, Georgia. He went on to claim that he knew how to beat the NFL’s drug test.

August 25, 2006- Arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after being ordered by the cops to leave a Murfreesboro night club several times. Jones claimed a woman stole his wallet. The woman claimed that Jones spat on her. The judge in the case gave Pacman six months probation and told him to stay away from the club.

October 26, 2006- Jones was issued a citation for misdemeanor assault after a female student from Tennessee State University claimed that Jones spit in her face at a Nashville night club.

Feburary 19, 2007- The facts are disputed and no charges have been made yet, but Jones was in the middle of a fight and shooting at a strip club in Las Vegas that left one man paralyzed and two more wounded. The fight broke out after Jones showered strippers on stage with $81,000 dollars. The club owner claims Jones was beating a strippers head against the bar while claiming to kill one of the club’s employees.

January 3, 2008- Pacman is accused of punching Wanda S. Jackson in the face at an Atlanta strip club called the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson says Jones reached over the counter and sucker punched her in her left eye.

October 8, 2008- Jones got into an alcohol related incident which turned into a physical confrontation with bodyguards that had been assigned to him by the Dallas Cowboys. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has suspended Jones indefinitely for the second time in his NFL career.

The above time line doesn’t include his sentence of one year in prison for a bar fight in Morgantown, West Virginia while in college. The sentence was later suspended in exchange for two years of probation (because he is a really good football player).

Here is a look at the options the Tennessee Titans have if they decide to cut Pacman Jones. He doesn’t only need to be cut, but Jones needs to serve some time. He has been given preferential treatment his entire life because he is good at playing football.
