He was 3rd string He is 3rd string . . How is he on the come up? Lame rationale

He is a young talented QB that was chosen to be the next man up in Dallas . . . A team that has a highly paid QB that always lets the team down with stupid decisions

Yeah Lance has a bright future in Dallas and we as Cowboy fans should be grateful

You just described Dak in 2023 . . . so sad

He was QB1 last year for SF and then got hurt in game 2. Please research before posting.

You and I disagree on Dak but I think we are on the same page that this team will never be good enough to get Dak to a Super Bowl if we have to extend him to a massive contract. This is basically his year to either cement his place here forever with a SB appearance and then sign a big contract (which will eventually regress the team when it can't afford Micah and Lamb) or if he craps out in the playoffs we will begin to see more of what Lance has in camp before making any further long term choices on Dak. I see Lance as a leverage play for Jerry in case of scenario 2 or Dak demanding Mahomes type money. However, he's a leverage play with some upside, so not a bad card to have up your sleeve.
Even if Dak plays well, I am totally against paying him more per year than what he's already getting. $40 million per year is a lot of more. More than enough. Dak needs to help the team. If he decides to remain greedy, get rid of his greedy ***!

Because now that Lance is here, the people who dislike Dak are gonna turn up the heat that much more. They want Dak gone so bad it hurts.
OTOH, that may only be in the beginning. Lance will be probably either give them good reason to turn up the heat, or give them good reason to shut up. Either way, not a bad thing. Of course, it's possible Lance will be just good enough to be QB2, in which case, it'll be the same thing we see now with Rush.

Some QBs read the defense, but still have think for a split second before pulling the trigger.

Then some QBs can read the defense and react instantly...Manning, MaHomes, Brady, Aikman, Marino, Elway, Bradshaw, Staubach, Tarkenton....
Valid, IMO.

I will not pretend to be an NFL Guru. I did not know the dynamics of the Trey Lance situation nor did I understand the Magnitude of the Persona and the Player

This man has a Cult Following and those who argue in favor of Trey . . . Use the same exact Arguments and the same exact Energy as those who are accused of being Dak Lovers here.

Carbon Copy. Can't read defenses and is slow to react which causes late and inaccurate passes. Except the difference is that their paths are complete opposites. Dak is the Veteran that is expecting a Half a Billion in Cash from Jerry and maybe a Quarter Billion in endorsements. Lance is the kid that played 1 season in a Division 2 power house ( but what a season)

One is a Raw 23 year old the other is nearly a Billionaire . . . Both Can't read a defense and are late to react which leads to "Rushed" inaccurate throws. . . But Both have a Cult following

If any one believes Dak will finally figure it out are Die Hards but I will give Trey the benefit of the doubt. Dak played His whole College and NFL career, Trey is limited in experience but is still young and on the come up . . .

So if Trey comes in the worse you could expect is Dak "Lite" . . . It is gonna be nice to watch this Diamond in the rough develop.

Did you know that there are fans that are actively considering leaving San Fran and becoming Cowboy Fans . . . Both have a Cult Following that are eerily Similar

Go Lance . . . WE WANT LANCE
Frisco is a garbage City, not to mention the team ain't squat, so I don't blame fans for leaving.

As for comparing collegiate resumes, Dak was far superior. He was a three year starter in the SEC and had his team ranked #1 in the nation at one time. He was far more experienced coming out of college.

I think Frisco was smelling themselves when they traded the farm for Lance and they paid a stiff price just to ultimately trade him for magic beans.

The Shanahans like a specific type of QB. Elway, Plummer, Cousins, Purdy....they all have above average mobility and excel on stretch play action. Learn your facts before assuming this was a decision made just based on skills without considering if the player was a fit to their scheme.
Another Factor is the Cult Following Lance has . . . It was tearing the Fanbase in 2 (exactly what has happened in Dallas with the Dak Cult Followers)

They had to play him or get rid of Him and Shanahan preferred Purdy at this moment

If Purdy were the QB of the Cowboys I would prefer Him over Lance but He is not . . . We got Dak so lets ride with Lance

The same crowd that believed Dez was a good route runner.
Dez did not need to be a "Good Route" Runner . . . even when he was covered He was open (Tony Room Quote)

Dez's downfall in Dallas was a weak QB that can not throw the back shoulder fade . . .

If the Cowboys go into the bye at 3-3 there will be some rumblings in big D

It certainly could play out that way if Dak keeps pushing Jerry's buttons. Dak had best appreciate and repay the Cowboys with a discount the way Jerry previously stepped up and paid him big bucks 2 seasons ago. If not, guaranteed Dak won't be a Cowboy much longer......no matter how he performs in 2023.

As much as I agree, I feel like Jerry will open up the bank if Dak can get us to a SB. Who knows, maybe Jerry is feeling like you do and is planning to cut and run if Dak asks for the big bucks, regardless of the outcome this year. Maybe he's sensing that's what is coming. Would explain the trade even more.

I agree. . . best case scenario is that Dak puts it all together this year and rides this defense t I a Championship and gives the Cowboys a discount . . . I would be OK with this

But based on the current downside Dak is on this scenario is highly unlikely and as far as giving Dallas a Discount . . . He has shown no signs of this in any of His Negotiations

Lance gives this team an out

I would rather watch Lance develop over the next 5 years than contine to watch the Dak **** Show
