It does to the 49ers . . . Which is why they moved on
No, it’s really not the reason. Delude yourself as much as you want to. They just did not see what they hoped to see in the player. Sometimes the real answer is the simplest one. But please continue to create false narratives… Whatever floats your boat.

Daks Rookie year is over rated, most of His stats were padded when he would pouch Elliott's 1 yard and 2 yard TDs. He performed admirably but that team was all about Zeke and the Offensive Line.

I am not saying Lance is next man up. That is Rush's Job. And I have total confidence in Cooper. . This team's identity is the Defense with Micah and Travon

If we struggle it will lay at the fret of Dak. And it will be because of Dak's limitations which are slow to read a defense and the inability to lead a WR in stride . . . As far as what i have read trying to familiarize myself with Lance, His weakness are reading defenses and this leads to inaccuracies . . . Dak Lite but Lance is young and inexperience . . . What is the Half a Billion Dollar QB's excuse in his 8th year?

Yea similar is not what anyone things of when mentioning these 2.

1 stepped in for an injured starter and hasn't looked back.

The other had a team handed to him and lost it to injury and the fact Mr irrelevant way out played him in the remaining games.

He was gonna be the starter until His injury and they are in a win now mode so they moved on from the project QB . . . your claim that they did not see what they hoped to is a lazy analysis

You have to factor the Lance Cult into this. . . As a Cowboy Fan you should know as well as anyone else How Obsessive Fans can drive a wedge between Cowboy Nation. . . The Dak Cult has destroyed the unity of the fan base. You can't let it Fester

No, you don’t… It’s ridiculous. Assuming they did not see what they hoped to in Trey Lance is not lazy analysis, it’s common sense. What you are doing is trying to create a fantasy world where GMs care about message board banter among fans.

I can’t even argue this anymore… I can’t wrap my head around fantasy. We can agree to disagree. Feel free to carry-on.

I will not pretend to be an NFL Guru. I did not know the dynamics of the Trey Lance situation nor did I understand the Magnitude of the Persona and the Player

This man has a Cult Following and those who argue in favor of Trey . . . Use the same exact Arguments and the same exact Energy as those who are accused of being Dak Lovers here.

Carbon Copy. Can't read defenses and is slow to react which causes late and inaccurate passes. Except the difference is that their paths are complete opposites. Dak is the Veteran that is expecting a Half a Billion in Cash from Jerry and maybe a Quarter Billion in endorsements. Lance is the kid that played 1 season in a Division 2 power house ( but what a season)

One is a Raw 23 year old the other is nearly a Billionaire . . . Both Can't read a defense and are late to react which leads to "Rushed" inaccurate throws. . . But Both have a Cult following

If any one believes Dak will finally figure it out are Die Hards but I will give Trey the benefit of the doubt. Dak played His whole College and NFL career, Trey is limited in experience but is still young and on the come up . . .

So if Trey comes in the worse you could expect is Dak "Lite" . . . It is gonna be nice to watch this Diamond in the rough develop.

Did you know that there are fans that are actively considering leaving San Fran and becoming Cowboy Fans . . . Both have a Cult Following that are eerily Similar

Go Lance . . . WE WANT LANCE
You make good points. Any fan saying, "We want Lance" at this point is WAY ahead of himself. However, "We want Lance to develop and then see if he's starting material" just isn't a very catchy slogan.

Dez was dropped in April a week before the draft in a total Dick move by Jerry. He signed with Baltimore, suffered the injury and that is why he was out of football
Bryant was released by the Cowboys two weeks before the 2018 draft.
He signed with New Orleans halfway through the 2018 regular season, but tore his Achilles tendon during a practice, and placed on IR. He never played a down for the Saints.
Bryant chose to focus on rehabbing and training during the 2019 season, so was out of the league that year.
During October of the 2020 season is when Bryant joined the Ravens.

They felt he was not ready to be the QB of a Championship team and there is a certain segment of fans who wanted Trey and hated Shanahan because of how they treated him. It was tearing the team apart

Dak has no skill set and Moore made him a $40 Million QB

I'll literally cash app you 5k if you can find one current or former player, coach, GM, or scout that says Dak has NO skill set.

I'll give you 48 hours to find either of those professionals who said those exact words. Now if you can't, are you willing to bench yourself for a calendar year from this board??

While you try and find those things.... how is it that Dak was playing great when Moore was his 3rd string backup??? If Moore was so good, why his trash *** couldn't make HIMSELF 40 million??

Waiting for that information after you try and answer the other questions though my guy.

This might play better if Prescott had not come out of the gate red-hot. Had one of the best rookie campaigns for a QB. I don't know what Lance will become, but Dak as a rookie became what Lance only hopes he can be after failing in San Fran.

I thought this was going to be some realistic threat about some "eerily similar" attribute they share. But instead it's just another stone being cast.

If Lance is ever going to be a starter it will be in the USFL or XFL.

Yeah. 97.8 Career passer rating. That's not a guy who can't read a D. Wake up to reality.

Dak came in as a rookie and played pretty well.
Lance was horrible as a rookie.
Dak never relinquished the job despite a near HOf QB on the sidelines.
Lance, in his third year, lost his job to Mr irrelevant, then Sam Darnold, then Brandon Allen, largely because he flat out stinks.
Yep, exactly the same.
Though some of what you said is correct, Lance didn’t lose his job to Darnold, as everyone keeps saying, Shannahan wanted to move on so he did, that’s all there is to it. Lance didn’t okay in first preseason game against chargers. Second and third he was high passer. 173yrds vs 109 yards with same rtg as Darnold. Third preseason game Trey 112 yards to Darnolds 83. Also higher rating: 111 vs 97.
Recall: Trey got hurt his rookie season, then broken an ankle last year. Kid literally has played the second fewest games of any qb taken in top five since 1967. Reality is we know what Dak is, but no one knows what Lance is, including everyone on this board bc he hasn’t played. He’s started what 4 games so we shall see over next few years.

This Eagles fan gets it. ^^
How would he be able to evaluate him with a broken ankle? His first he broke the same finger on passing hand as Dak did last year which affected his ability to straighten his finger for a full year. Must be great that we can only make excuses for Dak when it fits your narrative
