One of the hosts asked the other one if there are any issues in the locker room...
He stated that a few of the players are grumbling about the lack of adjustments that Marinelli makes. His philosophy is old school in that he says he will stick with the original gameplan and refuses to adjust as it is up to players to execute...
Marinelli does keep his scheme rather simplistic & sometimes it would be nice to blitz more, etc. That said, the defense allowed a whopping 10 points...and actually had a couple of turnovers (Marinelli's 2 prior defenses had 75 takeaways combined). In a couple of previous games, they allowed what, 13 or so points?
Also, some of these players ought to 'grumble' about their effort...especially in the 4th quarter and when the game is on the line.

13, 13, 20 and 10 points allowed last 4 weeks. The defense isn't the issue.
co-signBut as Lynch said, defenses show their worth when the pressure is the highest and in a few games this year, the defense has collapsed late giving up long and important scoring drives. So while holding Tampa to 10 is nice, a long drive late to lose the game is still very much their fault.

Jesse Holly also said their are players in the locker room who don't care for Garrett's coaching and philosophy....he clarified thy may like Jason the person, but they may not agree with his game philosophy.

It's the entire staff's philosophy. When's the last time this team went no huddle when they didn't need to but as a change of pace? Or used Escobar who was reasonably effective in the red zone a year ago?
At least we'll get to see Tony work on scoring some points next week.4 st8 games we have blown leads in the 4th even if OT. Not all on the defense as the offense should protect the lead as well.
Right now most would agree we suck.
