Fair and balanced cynicism (I prefer to say critique) about Dak or any other player or facet of the team is fine, even healthy. However, your post really isn't that. You're stating opinion as fact. Case in point "If the NFL held a QB re-draft right now of every quarterback, he wouldn't make the top 25" which is purely opinion. You have no way of knowing that. I've not seen any recent 2016 redraft, but the last one I've seen, which as post 2016 season, had him going #2 overall. Granted, that was after his phenomenal season, but I'd venture to say even after 2017, there is a reasonable chance he would go in the top 25 in any 2016 redraft.
Second, you again have no way to prove the assertion that no team in the in the NFC would trade QBs with Dallas right now. That might be true purely based on the youth factor, i.e., the 2018 draftees having 2 more years of service, but I could see a team like Arizona making the trade. And Minnesota prior to signing Cousins would've slobbered over themselves for Dak.
I've never understood this belief that the "league has quite comfortably figured him out." So it took the highest professionals a year and a half of studying him to figure him out and suddenly, after 25 games the light went on and they figured him out between games 8 and 9 last year? Does that even seem logical?
Look, I don't know ultimately what Dak will become. He has done some good things and some no so. The last half of 2017 was forgettable. He didn't handle the pressure well, but he's not alone in that. I've always said that, even if it cost you a 15 yard penalty, hit Eli early and very hard, not to injure, but to get into his head. He operated with happy feet and went down quickly if he had early pressure.
