And that's not on Parsons I get why we're hard on the guy because he talks a lot he's always in the media he has his little shows but you're right this is up to the defensive coordinator to find somebody else as a threat on the other side and down the middle and I think that might have to be over shown more safety and linebacker blitzes you need to get creative because they are spending sometimes two and three guys trying to keep Parsons at Bay and by the way a lot of those are illegal they are grabbing him they are arm barring him around his neck they are tackling him the injury came because he got tackled nearly got fell on by two guys whenever guyton fell on his guy you remember they called that a hold and they don't get give Parsons his flowers on the field they let him get absolutely illegally defended.. I'm not sticking up for the guy I can see where the blowback can come and why people would be hard on the guy but you said it this is not on Parsons he gave maximum effort last night his attitude was right they just were using two and sometimes three guys and they were holding him arm barring him pulling him from behind and there was no calls I mean in the Saints game that first big bomb he was held so bad how do you miss those calls and then call the ones you're calling on our offensive lines like something has to be done about it in the league or partisans will never be successful because they are taking his energy and momentum and his effort that he's given on the field away by the way they're defending him and some of it is penalties not being called...
I agree with you. He is being doubled and held all the time and no one else is stepping up. Also Zimmers defense tends to not produce as many sacks/TOs. Plus since we hadn’t stopped the run other than lat night, teams aren’t passing as much and he cant tee off like in the past.

He's a dominate pass rusher. Weeks 2 & 3 the other team barely passed the ball. He's not that good vs the run on the edge.
So all the other team has to do to make our best defensive player disappear is run the ball?

But we should pay him 35 million per ?

Ok got it

he's playing DE same as he always has. Why is it Zimmers fault?
He is not a DE. He is a LB. He was a LB in college and he was drafted to be a LB. His propensity to sack the QB landed him at DE but he's still undersized for the position which is why he is totally worthless against the run at that position. Zimmer is the one lining him up opposite OT's most of the game and he's getting mauled.

So did Quinn though. You're acting like this is a 2024 thing

He continually asks his body to do something it wasn't really meant to do a few years into the NFL at this pace and it starts to take its toll.
Add in the fact that the league is killing him by not penalizing the 300 plus pound men that are continually holding him every play.
You have a situation where the constant drop of water wears away the hardest Stone.

It would be very smart to trade him for multiple first round draft picks before he sustains some type of injury that makes him useless to us.

Even before the injury, he hasn't seemed like the previous seasons where he was wrecking havoc on olines. It seems like he's not as fast/explosion this year
He doesn't want to be here. We saw his true colors come out after that 49er playoff loss when he talked about QB play. Yeah he retracted it the following training camp but sometimes you just can't take back what you say. Even though he is right.

I don't think anything is wrong with him, I think a lot of the Parsons problem is that this defense is in week 4 and still has zero identity. 4 games and we have seen 4 very different game plans out of this defense. Nothing wrong with being adaptable, but you have to have some sort of consistency so guys understand their roles as well.
Belechek played a different defense every week
That can be the identity

He is a one dimensional player now.....,other than rushing the passer what other role can he play? He's an average LB at best and this scheme doesn't suit him.

Is he heavier than say his 1st season? he looks overweight, which could slow him down.
His speed was partly what made him so good.

he's seeing the money adding up, and there's not much effort he has to put in before generating that bag!!

that's the trade off, he's undersized and wants to bulk up to be able to be stronger against those OT's

The constant griping about him playing DE is silly. There are plenty of full time DE’s similar in size to him. His issue is he doesn’t hold up when he gets run at. He get’s swallowed up by tackles or he runs himself out of the play trying to play around blockers instead of through them.

That's what's happening, and he's not given much in getting sacks, YET based off good years, he's going to make 35, not worth it at all i'm sorry

If you knew football, you'd know that he affects the game in many ways, not just sacks. He has the ability to play all over the field and cause the offense to gameplay just for him. Zimmer is trying to lock him down to one position...,I don't see why.
Now, agree with me and tell me, best post of the day, like you do everyone else.

ME? Lol....have you ever played through injuries like that? They probably should have kept him out, for his own good. Now he'll be affected by this for several weeks.
He got injured during this last gsme, he hasn't been playing thru it

He's just not hard core.

He's a fingernail painting, drama loving 14 year old girl that just wound up in an NFL player's body. He's smart enough to make as much money as he can from this body he wound up inhabiting, but his true nature is making content on social media, getting into internet squabbles, gossiping, and just being a silly goose, all fabulous and flamboyant

Once he has any sort of little slowing down from his peak physical prime of 21 or 22 years old, his mental makeup just won't fill the gap like it does with other DAWGS that love football and just want to dominate

He doesn't love football
