Looks like he's a slightly faster version of Daryl Johnston.

He’s a FB, not a RB, though you can occasionally hand him the ball in short yardage. I watched him vs JMU in the playoffs for two years. Good blocker, tough runner, but really good receiver, even 40 yards downfield on the wheel….he went up for it like a wr.

1) who in here said he’s better than Zeke was?
2) who In here said he should be in the ROH
3) who In here said he’s gonna be the savior of the offense?

I ask these questions because all the “they say” fake arguments are getting old. Or even the arguments where people not involved in CZ are the ones getting called out. Why? If you can provide some folks it would be good. I’ve looked in a few places here and can’t seem to find who you’re referring to.
Either you didn't read the posts, or you cannot comprehend hyperbolic statements.

I'd prefer Pollard, Davis, and Luepke. Vaughn going to have to beat someone out or really impress to take someone's job.

Bingo. 3 TEs are set (Ferg, Shot, Schoon) McKeon will be in competition with HL and Fant. If they need an extra roster spot they could do away with this H-Back position, Schoon can do it.

This guy isn't a FB, just like Hollis, Alstott, Richie Anderson, Riggins and Larry Centers wasn't truly FBs
To me they are still FB but they are capable of doing more. Some actually lined up as HB sometimes
But they also lead block some. But lead blocking is not really his strong suit. A few FB dive plays, short yardage and use him in the passing game out of the backfield and you could even line him up at TE spot some. He also can help on ST which is really important if you want 3 guys active in the backfield
He can be a bit of a Swiss army knife

I’m betting he gets red shirted lol
A mysterious injury or PS
I don’t see how you have him active for games
He’s not a return guy though I’m sure they will look at that in camp. But he didn’t do much return work in college.
I think you are right about the backfield so I just don’t see where he fits and can be active
His best shot probably comes the next year if pollard walks

I’d love to have a player like this actually succeed.

I’d also love to be ahead of bringing back the FB effectively instead of waiting for another team to do it then copy it.

But….he looks more dough than muscle under those pads. I mean, he can knock me down by sneezing but I don’t play NFL defense.

Visions of sugarplums danced through their heads.

Think for a moment, almost every other player drafted, there was the "well that was in college" sentiment. But a fullback from North Dakota State, is supposed to be the savior on offense. And I love the "better than Zeke" comments. Maybe we all should wait and see if he makes the team before placing him in the Ring of Honor.
At this point, he is better than Zeke. At least the kid is on a team. There is not a team in the league that wants Zeke.

That's what he'll be. Basically will be competing with McKeown for a roster spot, because they aren't going to have 4 TEs and a FB.

He'll probably have a long career but any offense that's giving him more than 3-4 touches a game is going to be struggling. Not a feature player.

Good point, also, welcome to the forum!

Maybe Mazi can teach him how to lift a lot of weight.

Maybe Luepke can be the QB in short yardage when we run the Philly sneak.

I like what I see but the step up in competition is what gives me pause.

The guy is 235lbs and ran a 4.56 though. Great hands and agile. A lot to like from this guy...
That's a really good 40 time for guy like that, especially with the soft hands.

Well, he already is coming back from shoulder surgery. Shouldn’t be hard to parlay that into a red shirt season.

I'm liking what ya selling with the versatile FB spot. Short yardage... I-formation FB dive w/ TB pitch option would be stressful for defenses.

Shoulders take 6 months with proper rehab. He has a chance to make non-rook minicamp and should be ready for TC.
Welp, it's actually past 6 months now, doc....

Pardon the observation, but there's no "shoulders take x-amount of time"... one has to understand more than just that the problem is "his shoulder." There is a more precise diagnosis, and I don't know what that is. Do you?

Now, maybe you're right that he should be ready for TC, but if so, pardon me again that I don't take internet posters' word for this kind of thing... not all, but far too many are so full of themselves as to presume they've divined conclusions that just aren't actually grounded in anything but the person's hopes and dreams. Thus, a source for your report that he should be ready for TC would be compelling and appreciated.

why did we give this guy 200k if he is going straight to IR?
Who said we did? I've seen someone here post some other non-media-type's tweet that that's the case. I've seen no report from someone who's career takes a bit of a hit if they report something that isn't actually true.
