First off, this might seem crazy to some, but I'm going to tell you something. Athletes NEVER want to let a backup play. And I don't care how good they are either. There is an insecurity that drives great athletes. The best way to have no question about who "the guy is", if you are currently "the guy", is to never let "the other guy" on the field. Now, to the outsider, there is no question. Brandon Weeden is no Tony Romo. But I guarantee you that Romo never wants him to see the field. That is one reason why Garrett has to be the head coach on this situation. Romo loves his team, I'm not questioning that. But when it come to getting on the field all great athletes are somewhat selfish. They always believe they are the best solution, even when they aren't. If Romo isn't 90% Garrett needs to sit him.
