Major gripe with our offense is we didn't utilize Murray and the running game.

Murray is essentially our Marshawn Lynch. He needs to be used.

I hope now that Romo is dealing with back issue, the offense relies more on Murray.

But, I have a feeling Romo and or/Garrett is/are too stubborn. Its going to be Pass heavy once again, Checking out of runs etc.

I will say, our offense did much better scoring last year than the year before. And the run game--when used--was much better.

I do believe these were both the product of Cally calling plays.

I really think our offense will kick *** IF cally is given fully control and change everything about it.....but thats one big IF....which i dont think will happen...I really think Jerrah is disgusted with the entire offense and will take over the controls himself...because you know, He's Jerrah...:)

I thought Romo was audibling out of Garrett's playcalling from the beginning...

I think that is because they changed up the communication at some point in the season. They sent Wade Wilson upstairs and had Garrett calling in the plays to Romo's helmet.

http://sportsblogs.star-telegram.co...y-system-and-how-wade-wilson-can-see-the.html

Yeah, he was supposedly relaying the plays to Romo but some including Broaddus think he was calling them all the way, watching the games it sured seemed like he was.

“@AllStar_Zakar: @BryanBroaddus Do you know why Callahan is returning calling plays next year?” I believe HC was calling plays after NO game

Oh yeah, got to love how the defense produced over 27 TOs, over ten more than last year. But the defense had no bearing on offensive scoring, especially points per drive. When Sean lee puts you seven yards from scoring and Bailey is making field goals on a regular from 50 yards out, I guess it all has to do with our magical play-calling...

Don't even get me started on an Eagles game, where we couldn't win, despite there DC choosing to go man on man with no safety help on a 4th and nine.... Or how our Coaches just abandoned a running game because a defense happens to adjust to your one running play, the pitch right, which was a totally Callahan play, otherwise Garrett's delayed draw was not even used this year.

BTW, two years in a row of career high in sacks for Romo to lowest in his career... Garrett was demoted for a reason...

See- was he demoted? or was this a plan from the beginning?

See my last post as a reference.

Real responses by all will be appreciated for the good of the thread...

Btw, the previous years inability to score from our genius coaching staff was the lack of TOs from defense. Now TOs have gone dramatically up, but the same genius coaching staff is saying the defense is at fault.

Got to love the scape hosting for constant 8-8 seasons. Against Detroit, it was the d's fault, yet Sean Lee gifted them a TD and they had 3 more chances outside that. The Dallas offense didn't turn the ball over once. But everybody remembers the last drive and blames it on the defense. Detroit d was playing horrible at the time.

Against the Skins, one TD was gifted to the offense by special teams and the Commanders went ahead in the 4th. If not some miraculous 4th down play by Romo, chalk it up for another loss.

Spin the BS stats all you want, but this offense isn't good.

So what does that say about those proclaiming that Garrett took over play-calling duties from the Giants game on and specifically went to Hoss Jones to meekly ask for permission to run his team his way?

Did that happen?
Did Garrett take over play-calling at all? If he didn't, then he had no reason to go to Jones with his tail between his legs, right?
If he did- why would they keep the guy who was doing such a poor job that Hoss Jones' Walk-Around Trainee couldn't do his Walking Around? He had to call plays instead.

Who is having the disconnect here? I know I obviously am.
I was completely discouraged when I read that Garrett had to ask for permission to call plays from Da Boss.

I'd like to hope that this never happened (the asking for permission thing). Upon reading this- maybe it didn't.

Now Corso you know media isn't expected to sight sources are even be accurate so why would board members be expected to have any common sense. You go too far.

Doesn't make sense to bring in new coaches when Garrett only has one year left on his contract. The chances are very slim that Garrett will be here in 2015.

It was clear that Garrett was calling plays in the final month.

This is a non-story.
No it's not a none story. the story is king Jerry is going to try the same thing over yet again, and expect a different result. keep buying those tickets cowboys fans, and you will get more of the same.

It's relative Einstein to our own defense.

Broaddus doesn't really have anymore inside information than you or I do.

The correct term is "cite" (said as friendly as I possibly can) and you're honestly correct.

I did go too far...
I hang my head in shame.
