Or maybe it's morale damage control. :( One thing that I've learned during the short time I've been a Cowboys fan is that Parcell plays a lot of mind games.

I'm about to go make a few phone calls/e-mails. I'll let y'all know what I hear.
Hey Amy, sorry about your friend..

but he'll be back in a big way sooner or later..you and his other buddies keep his spirits up..

he has also played DE in the 4-3 sets in training camp.

In nickel packages.

You just have to come to this realization..... Parcells is not going to have Ware with his hand down grapple with a 340 lbs. left tackle for 70 snaps a game. Its not going to happen. Even if we went to, Ware would be relegated to mostly a nickel package player. So Kenyon Coleman, or some other DE, is going to play most of the base snaps, no matter what system we use.

Ware was drafted to be a hybrid DE/LB though, so that's expected.

I'm gonna post it again for Phoenix, hope the mods dont mind. You'll never see the Superbowl in 06 without him.

Mind? Why would anyone mind? You're just showing a non-playoff game, against a non-playoff team.:

But seriously, if you look at the clip closely (and I know you think you have), ...if Pinkston was thinking he could probably have gotten a pass interference call. In fact, it was pass interference! The Skins defender wasn't looking at the ball and was zeroing-in on Pinskton for the contact. Uncertain where they were on the field, but it looks like Skins territory.

You really struck a nerve on this one -- good thing it's 2004! But I'd even risk Pinkston doing his "allegator arm" attempt again if it meant he wasn't injured. He's still a valuable member of the Eagles! Get well soon Pinkston.

Just got off the phone with Marcus's mother (I was just about in tears, but she sounded positive)....I was going to start a new thread for this, but the announcement said not to, unless it was an article or official announcement from the Cowboys.

She said Marcus called her about an hour and half-two hours ago to let her know about the injury. She doesn't know the results of the MRI.

She said Marcus is in good, high spirits, as always. She said that his knee was swollen, but at this point they are only thinking and praying about the best outcome. She mentioned the posts on the forums spectulating about the worst outcomes, and she said that there is no reason to think that way at this point... only hope for the best outcome.

She said she would call me back when she heard from Marcus.

Which is the 4-3 package. If we were full time 4-3 he would be RDE

And in nickel, he doesn't have much to worry about the run, because its only used in passing situations.

Ware would be used as a situational pass rusher. So moving to a 4-3 does not get Kenyon Coleman off the field.

I didn't figure I'd strike a nerve, that gif just makes me laugh. Whether it's interference or not, Stinkston is a fembot.

I am so glad you are in Parcell's mind. The real fact is that IF we were to go FULL TIME 4-3 Ware would be the RDE. Coleman would not start over Ware in a 4-3 D

I'm not in Parcells mind, I'm using his words from this week's press conference.

I think with Ware, If you made him a down end he would wear out eventually. You have to pick your spots a little bit. Lawrence couldn’t have rushed the QB on every single play and been succussfull, he really couldnt.

You sure are showing compassion about his injury. Wait ...there may be something to the "kick em in the teeth and laugh at em" approach to wishing his recovery.

We will certainly maintain the "only hope for the best outcome"......

Thanks for the update, but in all fairness, Jerry's comments are what really made this whole thing snowball into what it has.

Injuries happen to everyone as you can tell by this thread. If you weren't an Eagles fan, you'd laugh at that picture, admit it.

In this weeks press conference we are a 3-4 team. My saying Ware would be a 4-3 D end was if there was NO 3-4

BTW, "down end" means hand on the ground.
