Exactly. Playing for the Rams wouldn't suddenly take away Dak's accuracy, decision making, leadership or off the charts poise. Would he have been as good? It's impossible to know, but Dak's biggest strengths, IMO, largely aren't a product of those around him.

We all know Dak wouldn't show that on any other team than the CBoys. It's all about the OL and the rb we have here. But when Romo played, rarely do we hear that even when he finished a great season (2014 season with Murray at rb).

He did. But many here don't want to acknowledge it. He showed signs of being a rookie. But he also showed the talent, skills, arm strength and poise that the Eagles saw when they traded up to draft him.

If the Cowboys had drafted Wentz, I dare say he would have been nearly as good as Dak. I give Dak the edge only because of his ability to scramble and he's more solid than Wentz and, IMO, can withstand brutal hits better than Wentz.

This is just being blind. Wentz had a horrible season while Prescott ended the season top 5 in passer rating among the elites and posted the undeniably best playoff start by a rookie in NFL history. Wentz may have a stronger arm, but you are sorely mistaken if you think anyone can just play QB in this system. It's unnecessarily complex and relies on having to read defenses. Did you fall in love with Wentz' screen passes?

Zeke should've gotten 30+ touches, said it before the game was played.

Back to the thread, franchise QBs should always go early. For that alone, I would take Dak over Zeke. But for their positions.....Zeke is better, at least right now.
How do you figure Zeke is better? Dak just had the best rookie season at QB......Zeke didn't have the best running back season as a rookie.

Not only that we didn't lose the Packers game cause Zeke didn't get 30 plus touches. If not for Dak we don't come back in that game

I'm not sure if Wentz has the better arm

Zeke is great all the way around but I still pine for Bosa. A little. They're both just so darn good you can't go wrong.
If Bosa was there at 4th overall, I'd have been fine getting him and then Howard much later.
But Zeke IS a beast

I prefer Bosa, and was staunchly against a RB at #4, but Zeke is most definitely a whale of a football player. He's so impressive without the ball in his hands, too. Not to mention what he brings in terms of mindset. He's born to ply football.
I wanted Ramsey but was just about as excited with zeke maybe more so...because of the OL and the possibilities

To be fair, for the fist third of the season, a lot of people disputed which of these two teams was better. The question became not-close when we got significantly better QB play than the Eagles did and earned the better record. But for much of the season it was a debate between the Eagles' defense and our OL and skill players.

Of course, the first third of the season is not the entire season. And this is why we can't make any snap judgments based on a third of a season or even one season.

The Cowboys had the better team. In hindsight, it's not even close. And Dak had the better situation. There's no dispute about this.

lol, so what has he done so fascinating? Overthrowing his receivers by 20 yards? putting up Eli type INT's? Runs like Herman Munster

The same could have been said about John Elway and Peyton Manning in their first seasons. A career is not defined by a rookie season.

He likely wouldn't have missed the block the Atlanta running back missed which opened the flood gates to an epic Patriots comeback in the Super Bowl.

The point is they had the better team at least in part because they had a lot better QB play. Because on paper before it started and while Wentz was playing well, there was a lot of dispute about it. Wentz' situation would have been a pretty good one, too, if he were capable of playing as well as Dak did.

I agree with that...the point I was trying to make that I make on a regular basis on the eagles board when they say Wentz is going to be this or going to be that...I tell them they should say they "hope" rather than "think", because he certainly showed nothing but maybe a promise here and there but there were also times he showed he has a long way to go before being crowned.

This topic alone seperates eagles fans from the rest regardless of what forum they post on.

Well, obviously Weeden, Cassel and Moore couldn't play in this system. But I'd say Wentz is better than those three.

Well, I "hope" he doesn't turn out to be the Eagles franchise quarterback, but I "think" he will.
