I think the third quarter dip is
mostly because we have fewer possessions then since we opt to take the ball first whenever we can and then give up long drives ourselves coming out of halftime. Any idea what the points/series splits look like coming out of halftime?

I’m not sure, but it’s a good question. Whether one drive is statistically significant to argue that defense was the reason we couldn’t even score a single point against the Rams for example would be hard to sustain in my opinion.

Also, as I said, we have been playing bad stretches of offensive football for the first half did multole games, including last while the defense didn’t gold until the second half.

It gets back to our defense being tired out by the second half because of bad ofdenseive performances during that stretch. Even with Smith against the Commanders, we were awful offensively until mid third when the OL just totally dominated the Commanders DL.

Teams figured out Dez is not a threat anymore and instead of doubling him, they double Beasley.
They'll force him to the outside to use the sideline as an extra defender or force him inside with either a safety or linebacker helping double him.

But it's why we need more speed at the Z-receiver position and at TE to force teams to double somebody else.
These. Although Dez is still very much a threat over the middle.

? I have no clue what you are talking about. But the part about Garrett and his idiots not using rubs I agree with. Just another tool we see used by everyone in the NFL that Garrett hasnt caught onto yet.
Throwing receivers open....it's what made romo and others great, it's actually what people got excited about cooper rush. Dak wants to throw to a guy who is visually open....by that time nfl corners are closing the gap

We don't see the timing pattern to sideline where dak releases the ball before the receivers even break off out and slightly back to a spot....trust or lack of accuracy?

Cole Beasley considers it a sign of respect. But the bottom line numbers still don’t make digesting it any easier. One year after leading the Dallas Cowboys with 75 catches … Click to Continue »

Of course they are. Teams have studied film on our offense and Dak. Shame on us for not making adjustments for getting him more open and I know you all hate to hear but alot has to do with Prescott. Teams have figured him out pretty well this year. He has to do things that defenses cant just key on. So its not Beasely fault. Its a combination of both. Something that we must see if it gets better. To me this offense realizes way too much of one style to make them succesful. Once that gets disturbed in any way we are way too easy to defend.

I would also argue that part of it has to do with the fact we are no longer getting 5 YPC on the ground on first down with Zeke, like last year.

Teams show and drop a guy because they aren’t threatened with the run or play-action as much, particularly when the down and distance is greater than last year.

Of course, which is why you keep following me around and whining about me hurting your Dak feelings..
You should contact the MOds, ask them to change your name from Khiladi to "I hate Dak".

And you should changes yours to “I follow Khiladi all around the forum and complain about him hating on Dak”...

Well T Will does average 3 catches and 30 yards per game....
And he is pace for 0 TDS this year..
Yet no mention of him sitting for B Butler or Noah Brown...
Plenty of pitchforks out for Dez though.
Well I understand you like Dez, he's a nice guy but seriously he's being paid like four times as worth at this point

So teams are doubling TWill.. I thought he had speed.. how exactly does the Alpha dog WR give TWill an excuse if he’s on the other side of Dez?

Just defending Dak, because some people apparently watch the all-22 even more than a coach that says defenses adjusted and are not giving Dak the easy throws he used to make regularly.

Notice how Linehan said they are dropping LINEMAN back.. that has absolutely NOTHING to do with Dez and doubles coverages with safety help.. you guys will spin anything to blame it on Dez.

Dak’s production on go routes to TWill even last year were also awful..

And Witten’s production this year has been in decline, where his biggest numbers was a blowout in Denver.

If anything, nobody isn’t helping Dez..
Linehan was not going to call anybody out. He just pick a simple issue that he thought the media/fans would understand.

The dropping Linemen does not happen a large number of time per game. I might count the next time I review the All-22. It's probably less than 10% of pass plays.

Its not about me liking Dez... Its more about other people making foolish statements because they are upset about his paycheck.
Has he performed to his salary? Nope...
Is he better than T Will? Its not even close.
So to hear someone call for Dez to suddenly be a rotational player while they say nothing about the guy on the other side that has never produced is a bit moronic. Surely you can see this?

The combination of Witten being really slow now and Dez with his decline is too much. Witten would be OK if the #1 WR put stress on defenses.

Actually all of the receivers are limited. They need a legit Alpha Dog #1 WR and everyone else would get better because the coverage would focus on that player.
That’s a much bigger factor than most fans see
I’ve always thought the answer with dez is get the ball in his hands, not run him down the sideline and depend on him to out jump the cb
More crossing stuff, slants or what ever it takes to get him open. His strength is ability to run through cb’s not past them
