Where in that post did you see me trying to convince you of anything?

All i said was that its telling of your lot in life that you think having a pool is some crazy dream, haha.

No one here could care less what you think about their lives.. because everytime you post about other people, you spew ignorance.

Play your role, ITG... play your role.

I know, dude.. i sepnt the majority of the day out at my pool. I saw the sunlight you speak of.. it was pretty intense. Made the pool water feel very refreshing.

Like I said you're just an actor.

Don't try to convince me of your made up life.

They're not losing because of Megatron. They're losing because they can't put a decent team around him. Getting rid of him wouldn't help them get into the playoffs, I promise.

I typically agree with a lot you say GB... but not here.

Follow me for a second. Do you think paying him 19 million dollars has any effect on their ability to sign and pay other players that they need in order to field an effective team?

If Dez breaks record, Jerry's gonna shell out some big ones.

Most young guys go for the first big payday over setting the market. Victor Cruz took 6/45 to get paid now as opposed to waiting for Mike Wallace money 5/60 as a true FA. Cruz was a little more leveraged as an UDFA, but if they go after Dez in the offseason he may sign a team-friendly, shorter deal to get that 20m guaranteed.

Good deal. Lee is a class act and a coach on the field. I must admit I've had a man crush from day one.

Of course I do, and I have been following you. I just feel differently than you do in that I don't think you trade your once in a generation player in his prime because he commands a lot of money. They aren't hurting capwise. If they were, I might agree with you, but they have room to sign who and what they need. They just aren't getting the right players/coaches in there.

Because Megatron costs a lot isn't the reason they can't run the ball. They can't because they don't have the line or the backs to do so. Trading Megatron wouldn't automatically give them a balanced attack. On the contrary, take away the threat that CJ presents in the passing game and teams could load up against the run even more.

It is just a difference of opinions, that all. In some instances I might agree with you, but in CJ's case and in Dez's case, I think it would be foolish to let them walk in free agency because they're are superstars and cost a lot.

Just a reminder....if you're posting about another poster, and not about the thread topic, there's a good chance I'm going to come down on you like Demestress Bell on a plate of pancakes.

I gotta agree. You can't trade Dez. Our WRs behind him aren't that special. New England let some key guys go, but they didn't trade Brady or Wolfork when they were in their prime. Some of our bad contracts will be gone soon enough. There is more than enough money for Dez, Romo, Lee and Ware.

More evidence?

I would say it is among the first glimmers of light at the end of the tunnel.

We just franchised Spencer for the second straight year and are intent on paying Jay Ratliff huge money and he has not even practiced yet.

This is one of the few deals we seem to have done right, or at least attempted to do right, in recent memory.

I guess I'm a little more optimistic than you. Some people always want to find the negative in something. What I mean by the landscape changing, is things like Garret instilling accountability, better drafting, a move to a more younger team, better coaches. This is not the first "glimmers of light" but one of many of late.

So I'm thinking 2.9 mil left for this season means Waters will not be signed.

Lee's cap charge will only be 2.93m this year. His orig 630k salary+300k old SB+2m new SB. That still leaves around 6m in cap space for 2013. Next year Lee's base is 5.5m with the 2m SB charge, his cap hit will be 7.5m. Very team friendly with room to restructure if cap space is needed. If he plays in 80% of the games in 2013-2014, he gets a 1.5m bonus. His base for 2015 is only 2.5m.

Contract deets. 10m Signing Bonus with cap hit spread over the first 5 years.

2013-- 630k salary 2.9m cap hit
2014-- 5.5m salary 7.5m cap hit
2015-- 2.5m salary 4.5m cap hit
2016-- 3m salary 5m cap hit
2017-- 7m salary 9m cap hit
2018-- 7m salary 7m cap hit
2019-- 7m salary 7m cap hit

Lee can earn 1.5m bonus in 2015 if he plays in 80% games in 2013-2014 and 1.5m every year after that if he hits the 80%
