There's no doubt the offense takes on the look of an offense familiar with consistently moving the ball on the ground when MB is in the game. This every other series thing is going to get us killed down the stretch. I am in no way a JJ hater. I just see what I see on the field and there's no doubt the offense moves better with Barber running the ball. On top of that the passing game opens up because defenses see it too. Sure, JJ is a home run threat but in the game of baseball there are far fewer HRs than there are singles and doubles. The singles and doubles are what put points on the board.

Barber give us a better chance to put consistent points on the board.

We do have something special with two high caliber RBs on our roster but Barber needs to somehow get more carries if our offense is going to move forward and improve. We can't have any letdowns because we know our defense is still a work in progress. Get used to it folks. The 40-30 wins will become commonplace until Wade helps our defensive guys figure it all out.

Dude, we scored 45 points. We don't need to change anything on offense, period.

I respectfully see things different than you. There's a certain comfort fact that MB brings to the offense. Julius doesn't bring that same level of comfort. JMO

I know we scored 45 but I think we can clearly see Barbar is defintly an upgrade. Most of the points we scored was by Barbar or when he was in. I was the biggest Julius fan but being objective Marion Barbar is the better back.

The offense is FINE...plus, where is the EVIDENCE that the offense didn't move the ball with JJ in there?

Jones was in the game for Witten's TD.....Jones was in the game for T.O.'s TD...Jones was in the game for T.O.'s 2nd TD....Jones was in the game for Hurd's TD.

Again....4 TD's and JJ is in the game....evidence that the offense isn't moving the ball when JJ is in there?

Both of them should play just the way that they are...we are a TEAM!!!!

Game. Set. Match.

Negative. There was an ebb n flow in the offense all night long. The peaks occurred when Barber was on the field game. The valleys were names Julius Jones.

Imagine how much we score if we don't waste plays on Jones and let Barber have them.:D

OK - so, you were looking for what? 52 points?

No offense, Bleu, but of all the things to complain about, you're barking up the wrong tree.

The problem's on the other side of the ball.

I don't think you can sit on our 45 as a marker of future games. The running game was NOT why we scored 45. It obviously helped, but Romo was throwing 25+ yards per pass. The running game helped set that up, but don't get it twisted. The passing game was the workhorse tonight, not the running game. Who knows... if the passing game isn't there some week and Julius isn't producing as a #1, how important is the guy that gets the snaps now?

That said, I think this argument is important from the standpoint that we need to know who our best guy is, because he should be getting more snaps. The better the playmaker, the more he should be in there. And one is definitely better than the other.

But we should enjoy the win. 45 points is a damn good accomplishment.

Barber should get more carries because, despite the fact JJ was in the game during the passing TDs you mentioned, Barber is the bigger threat at the RB position... or shall I say growing to keep the detractors happy? Our 1,2 punch at RB is top notch but Barber should be the 1. He gets the offense going every time he hits the field.

Seems to me the peaks were when JJ was on the field. 4TD's scored when JJ was in the game.

My oh my....I wish that players didn't have names on their jerseys...

Are we starting Barber at Corner or Safety? Cause that's where I saw the problems. The running game looked fine the way it was.

The thing about it is, Julius might be faster in the open field, but he can't get to the open field unless he can make a linebacker miss or hit the hole faster and he just doesn't do it. Barber might as well run faster because he actually gets to the second level.

Barking up the defensive tree is obvious. I prefer to choose the thing that's not so obvious to those blinded by the 45 point effort in game one of many.

Again, the evidence isn't in your favor....JJ was on the field when we scored 4 TD's...can't get the offense going?

They both did fine....reminds me of the Troy Hambrick vs. Emmitt Smith arguements.

They spell each other just fine.
