Exactly. Nobody ever downgraded Joe Montana based on his coach or teammates. It’s quite asinine to see that very thing happening here with Aikman.
Yeah I don't like that. I don't like discrediting guys because they play with good talent. Because I saw what Jameis Winston did with the Buccs receiver sand I saw what Brady did and it was night and day. Literally was the difference between going 8-8 and winning a Super Bowl. IF you can play you can play it doesn't matter what talent is around you IMO. Now I'm not going to say I expect a guy to win a SB without talent around him but I expect you to produce regardless of what talent is around you.

Jimmy Johnson wouldn't even have Romo as his starting QB. He was a choker and his pedigree sucked.
Dak's a choker as well. However, Romo got better as the years went on. Dak regressed and is making more rookie mistakes now than he did his rookie season. Dak won't see a SB win just like Romo didn't. While Aikman wasn't the greatest during the regular season (But was still one of the more accurate QB's), he turned it up a notch during the playoffs.

So

Start: Aikman
Bench: Romo
Cut: Dak

1 - Aikman
2 - Romo
3 - Dak

However if this was a magical scenario where they’re in a new, 21 year old bod, I’d be curious to see what Romo would be like with modern day offensive coaches.

He didn’t even want Aikman. He wanted Steve Walsh.
You believe that and I got some ocean front property to sell you in ARZ. I read Jimmy's books and he never said that. Walsh was trade bait and that's it.

Hahaha. Only 36 QBs in the HOF and Aikamn's one of them......Romo better buy a ticket to enter the HOF.

Romo was more talented than Aikman? Yet he went undrafted and Aikman was a first overall pick.

Romo also played with some very good teams. One played in the salary cap era and one didnt. I think you are missing that key element.

But on no planet was Romo more talented than Troy Aikman. Arm strength, leadership, every intangible you can think of, poise, accuracy, none of it, Aikman beats Romo talent wise in all of that. Get out of here with that nonsense man. Aikman also didnt head to Cabo for a week before a playoff game. Like I said. Leadership
Ryan Leaf was drafted, what, number 2 overall while Brady was drafted in the 6th. Draft position does not equal talent.

Romo made those teams look decent. What was our record in games where Romo was out hurt?

You act like i said Aikman was a garbage scrub who shouldn't have been allowed in the league. He's a HoFer and deserves every bit of it. I just think Romo does just as well as Troy if you put him on those teams. Also, every one talks about how accurate Troy was, Romo has a higher career completion percentage....just sayin...

Didn’t they win 13 games when Romo got hurt in 2016?

Different eras and both guys fit well.

I don’t think Aikman is as great if he throws as much as Tony had to. Same with Tony, I don’t think he was as accurate and could do as what Troy did with precise accuracy and timing.

Dak is a good QB. But until he wins, he will be Danny White level which is still good.

You have Staubach and Aikman as 1-2, Tony at 3. White / Dak next tier
I don't think Aikman looks good at all with some of the inferior olines Tony played behind. It was constant jailbreak for a while. Though I don't think Tony ever took the relentless pounding Aikman got from the Eagles.

Aikman would have just lit the league up with TO, Glenn, and Witten.

I'd say Staubach is 1 far ahead of the rest.

Sit Romo - dude's body cant hold anymore hits one more and he could be done but if protected well he can still throw
The infamous 2016 Mantra . . . Helped alot of Foolish Kool-aid Drinking Fans to sleep at night . . . its 2023 and I hear Dak is still "Improving and Working" on things

We will be able to cash that Rubber Stamp Jerry endorsed . . . Yeah Jerry you proved Dak was better then Wentz but The Eagles have been to 2 Super Bowls since then and all The Cowboys got were Jersey Sales
