In the playoffs, Giants held the

Cowboys to 17 (ave 28.4)
Packers to 20 (ave 27.2)
Pats to 14 (ave 36.8)

They were rolling.

I do think Dallas should've beaten the Giants and just had too many screwups. I'll never think they were better than the Pats though.
I feel certain that prime 1994 Aikman or 2014 Romo would've led them to the win over NY.... especially if they sewed it up before that play with 17 seconds left (that was the same throw any version of QB would've made...perfect...but no dice)

All make-believe and speculation anyway, I guess.

Go Cowboys
I honestly don't remember what they did to the Packers and Pats. I've watched that Giants/Cowboys matchup numerous times including a few months and I can't give them credit for that one. That was all on our offense being sluggish and dropping passes. How much credit are you giving their defense for that Crayton dropped pass?

Everything I stated was based on facts. Romo had better Defenses around him than Dak's had overall throughout their careers. 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 were better Defenses for Romo than Dak had in 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2016. That's not including 2022 where the Cowboys Defense gave up an average of 27.5 points, still higher than most of Romo's Defenses.

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/cowboys-defense-average-points-per-game#:~:text=The Dallas Cowboys put up 27.5 points per game in 2022.

The stats are there in the statmuse link I provided.

So, no, the stats I provided actually support what I said: Romo had better Defenses around him than Dak has had throughout most of their careers.

As for the rushing attack surrounding both Romo and Dak during their careers, the only year (between 2004 - 2021) the Cowboys had below 1,500 rushing yards was the 2012 season. The rest of the times, Cowboys QBs have been surrounded by 1,500+ rushing attacks (which should be good enough to keep opposing Defenses honest).

You're looking at the wrong stats, sir.

You're looking at offense.

I suspect Tony has 1-2 rings with Aikman's rosters, but I doubt he has all three.
I'm sure Aikman would not have a ring with Tony's teams, but who would.

I'd go with Aikman then Tony....jmo
Jimmy Johnson wouldn't even have Romo as his starting QB. He was a choker and his pedigree sucked.

Ironic that a thread about nothing has gone for 9 pages and Seinfeld went for 9 seasons. Aikman, Romo, Dak. What else is there to say.

And you have less understanding than I do if you want to make that kind of a statement.
All your hollow claims with never anything to back it up. I have 4 years of proof with your zeke pollard train wreck to highlight your football knowledge.

and now your claiming we should dump dak? You have completely lost it.
