Start, Bench, Cut – Aikman, Romo, Dak

People want to act like the Tampa Bay game never happened and instead focus on what Dak did against the best defense in football (49ers) with no running game and poor receiver play. The playoff game against the Bucs showed the world how good Dak truly is because the Cowboys played a complete game.

I find myself arguing for Dak the same way I argued for years for Romo when people called him a choker. Because if you look closely at the games Romo lost in the playoffs there were always other things going on that had nothing to do with him.

Romo's career was ultimately wasted and I just hope Dak isn't destined for the same fate.

ME as well. I just switched over from Romo. You could easily take Dak out of all my posts and put Romo in there and it will look like it did 10 years ago. Crazy....

Its funny though before that Buccs game we were all worried and said Dak needed to have a great game...he has it and it doesn't matter. He needs to get over this 49ers hump....I can't sit another year of that crap.

All depends on what kind of oline and team you have. If it’s the romos teams aikman gets cut.

If it’s aikmans teams then romo gets cut.

Dak = Tony = Danny.....all are the same QB. Any one of them could have had that game against TB.
I heard it here may times...supposedly any of them could have won with the 90's SB teams as well, but Troy could not win with these teams Dak and Tony had....but I doubt they could have won those SB's....

all lacked a championship roster. Funny part is you think it was all the qb that win it for stauback and aikman. Far from reality.

This is a no-brainer any fan with a clue wouldn’t take Romo on that 93 team or any of our 90s teams because we won 3 championships. You’re not going to better on winning a Super Bowl and besides Romo had too many turnover issues. He was a poor man’s Brett Favre, who could never beat our great 90s teams. It wasn’t until the Cowboys started to decline that Favre got the better of us. I think every fan would have taken Aikman on the 2016 team but it wasn’t Dak that caused us to go one and done, it was our defense that couldn’t defend one of the top five greatest QBs to ever play the game. Aikman could’ve played a perfect game and Rodgers still would’ve found a way to beat our defense. Our championship teams under Aikman had great defenses.
