And yet a jury cannot unhear testimony that was stricken from the record. So too SAS because some people will hear what they want to hear in that statement of his. Filter out all the denial and focus on what becomes an accusation.
Pretty much. He accomplished what he wanted. He planted the seed by saying it would be irresponsible to plant that seed.

(They can franchise him for crying out loud. That keeps interest down).

This is what they call burying the lead

Dallas can sign Dez for the next two years without any competition with the franchise tag. If they wanted to use the non-exclusive tag they could match any offer or get 2 first round picks. Neither option is bad.

The have NO REASON to smear Dez and by extension themselves with a Domestic Violence scandal. Plus it just isn't JJones' style.

You know, I understand the criticisms that Jones gets, but this isn't how Jones does business. As much as his party life hits the media spotlight, as much as many hate him as a GM, Jerry Jones the owner doesn't screw over his players. He's been doing this for two decades now and he has done the opposite, he's given players contracts that can secure them for life (Even when not deserved).

I think it's safe to say that we know Jerry Jones the owner by now, he wants to get Dez his contract; he wants to keep Dez around long term and set him up for life. That's why I'm not going to claim anything and why it's unprofessional, something Stephen A. was criticizing others form, to say Jerry Jones and the rest are behind this.

Until there is evidence of Jerry Jones and the rest doing this, there is no reason to make claims.

I just think because this guy is a repeat offender in terms of domestic abuse, the league won't take kindly to him.
That didn't answer my question.

Or, I guess it did in a Washington sort of way.

I'm not confident enough to bet on it, no. Goddell is heavier-handed with some than others. But I'd be surprised if he didn't get a suspension.

:facepalm:For what? There's no evidence he did anything.

Well, I guess prepare to be surprised.

Why on earth would the NFL suspend someone for not committing a crime? He wasn't charged with a thing. There was no video. Or did that escape your notice? Nothing 5 times worse than Ray Rice happened unless you count the yellow journalism.

I doubt the media get 2 to 4 games either.
