No... I'm really not. His attitude at the end burned me... Not too mention the whole "Diamond/trash" thing.

Ok fine, but how well did we do without him? And can anybody even remember the scabs name who tried to fill in for him when he was holding out? That whole plug anybody behind this awesome o-line thing didn't work so well back then...

If you wish you can start a thread on the merits of Emmitt Smith.

The guy has rang up 25 TD's over the last two seasons... That's a pretty good number.

I can think of maybe two receivers in this ;league which are dominant. Dez is not one of them. He has good numbers, but he still doesn't take games over. Don't get me wrong, I like Dez very much. But at this point I don't believe he is a player who you can point to and say this guy causes more grief for defenses than a guy who touches the ball perhaps twenty times a game.

Back side passes near the goal line are important.

Moving the sticks on the ground for an offense that has an aged quarterback, maybe more so.

you cant keep everybody. you got to pick your battles. Dez will want top dollars. McClain will need dollars if say he plays at a high level all year. I think Harris and some other key guys were coming up on contract plus next year will be a key year to play hard in FA for pass rush help or maybe a stud FS. Romo would be about the only weak link if the defense had a couple more pieces. if Romo truly is in decline with his back and age that is .

Please don't
You guys gave no idea what he is worth and will grossly overpay him
Let him play out the year and test the underpaid RB market then decide if you want to match or not

So right.

But with our so called "cap guru" and his brain dead father i have the fear we are looking at the same stupid deals like they made with Romo etc...
Those two are nothing more then guys who have the ill desire for attention. Not the right thing to have when you try to make logical decission.

But whatever ....

But you do try to keep your play makers.

To an extent yeah, I agree with that.

And that's what the Cowboys have done or tried to do ever since the triplets is reward the playmakers.

But at what cost with other positions?

You gotta have balance when it comes to payroll TD3.

This is true and why drafting well is so very important.

You guys are wringing your hands over a salary dispute that isn't even a thing yet.

But if the team, and this means the guy at the top, had managed the cap better, then this would be a moot argument.
