You just did.

You gave me a quote and then post a link sending me to a tweet stating the Cardinals are after Chris Johnson, nothing about him being a liability.

I'm not saying it's NOT true that there are reports of such out there, I'm saying I'm not finding anything outside of him and Delanie Walker discussing there being a cancer in the Titans locker room (And they both made it clear they weren't talking about each other).

To be fair to McFadden, he apparently wants to practice and play, but the coaches aren't letting him.

Maybe just being cautious. Maybe they don't want him to get seriously hurt because they don't want to pay an injury settlement when they cut him.

My take is that for some reason they are all giddy about McFadden behind this line so they keep wanting to see what he can do. But he cant get healthy. They are probably losing their patience. And he is very cheap so it doesnt hurt to keep him around.

Arizona offered Chris Johnson a one-year deal a few days ago. Nothing on whether he's considering it or not.

Johnson wants no part of the training camp pace so don't expect him to commit to any other team except the Cowboys until TC is almost over. IMO, he would make an exception for the Cowboys b/c that is were he wants to be.

Former Jets running back Chris Johnson is just a little bitter about being cut by the team. Mostly, because, in his opinion, former general manager John Idzik lied to him about what his position would be with the team.

"Basically, it was a situation where I was going there to be the guy or whatever," Johnson said on the Rich Eisen Show Monday. "It was still said, yeah, both guys [Johnson and Ivory] were going to get playing time. I think it was like after the [third] game or something like that, it just switched over and I started getting less and less playing time, and not knowing where it came from."

Johnson started just six games at running back in 2014, totaling 663 yards on 155 carries.

"I never wanted to be a cancer in the locker room, or be the bad guy, so all I could really do is take advantage of my opportunities, talk to Rex, talk to [Anthony Lynn] the running back coach," Johnson said.

He is now free to join any team that will have him.

"It just didn't jell; it just didn't work out," Johnson said. "That being said, I think it was a good thing I did my contract how I did it. Basically, I was on a one-year deal with an option of a second year. I know how I feel when I'm working out and all those types of things, so I'm just very excited to see what lies ahead.

Topics: Chris Johnson, Rumor, New York Jets,

The first, and most obvious cancer culprit was Chris Johnson, who was released shortly after Whisenhunt’s arrival last year. Titans fans know all too well how much of a malcontent Johnson became after his record setting 2009 campaign. No one was shocked at the move, and by and large, no one disapproved.

In February 2015, Tennessee released offensive tackle Michael Oher, after signing him to a lucrative five year deal the previous year. Not only was Oher injured and otherwise ineffective last season, he was also known to be aloof and surly with his teammates.

Okay, you're giving me quotes from Chris Johnson stating he felt he was mislead with the Jets AFTER being let go. And seeing as how many players have ill-will towards the Jets after leaving or have openly criticized Rex Ryan, why is Chris Johnson exclusively being criticized?

The most I remember Johnson saying that could have stirred up trouble is when he stated back in 2011 that he can't be productive if there are no holes to run through. I guess I'm looking for Johnson and his teammates having a feud, because all of what I'm reading isn't a "locker room problem" - that's something I save for players of a higher caliber of problems. I guess that's where we differ on this.

For those saying he no longer has speed, he does. I still don't see where people are saying he's done, I don't expect CJ2K, but Chris Johnson still has something that most RBs in this league don't have (Besides a gunshot wound. Just getting that joke out of the way :p)

So why isn't he on anyone's roster?

Just get Chris Johnson already...

I consider it a slight indictment on the current situation that Chris Johnson, a 30 year old RB who's career is clearly winding down, is considered some sort of savior.

The Cowboys have been patient at RB and will likely continue to be.

They aren't going to sign guys and guarantee them money at this point.

Randle, McFadden and Dunbar is a perfectly fine RB corps. If one of them works their way out of a job via either poor play or injury they can be replaced easily enough.

If Dallas thought CJ2K was a big upgrade he'd already be here.
If they thought Ray Rice was still an elite back and worth the bad press he'd be here.

Situations change and the team may pull the trigger on something but it's hardly time to panic.

Last year SD beat us 27-7. We ran for below 4 yards per carry with Randle and Ryan Williams.

I'm not sold on Chris Johnson..however this question makes me wonder if Randle, McFadden and Dunbar would also not be on anyone else's roster if we cut them. This can't be true right? McFadden is playing for a small non guaranteed salary. We may have came close to cutting Randle after his underwear theft last year. The thought that we may have 3 backs who would be out of work today if not for us is as depressing as people having to argue over Chris Johnson.

This reminds me of what Romo said on Jimmy Kimmel when he was lobbying for Demarco to be resigned.

My take is that your take is goofball.

The team seldom runs it's guys early on. DeMarco sat last year week 1 of pre-season.
The team has no desire to run it's backs into the ground and they are intentionally resting the guys.

The plan was for them to be back Saturday and they will.
They'll play in pre-season weeks 2 and 3 for sure.
They may very well rest again come pre-season week 4.

Not really seeing him run away from anybody there. Doesn't look nearly as fast as he used to.

Stephen Jones' quotes:

"There are some really good running back battles going on around the league, and some of them would really fit us."

"I'm confident that by the start of the season, we'll have a running back in here that will fit our team."

"There are a lot of running backs that would love to run behind this offensive line."

It's a strange comment given it's team that's prevented McFadden from practicing, rather than McFadden. Randle missed, what, half a practice?

this is an indictment of the position, not the players.
teams want guys that know the playbook in and out and protect the QB.
every NFL running back can carry the ball.

it's odd if you read it as a message to the players.
it's not odd if you read it as a message to the fans who have been clamoring for a back since murray signed with the talons.
essentially it says we will be fine, tons of options, we want whats best option for our team, not biggest name.
