"I've got all the faith in the world we can win this thing with Dak," Stephen Jones said Monday. "... We know what he's about. His leadership skills are undeniable. Impeccable work ethic. Other than he hadn't won some key playoff games, he's everything you want in a quarterback. From the day he walked in the door, he's won a lot of games. We just got to get over the hump."

The team will need to find a way to lower Prescott's $49.1 million salary-cap figure for 2023, with the easiest way being to sign him to an extension that kicks guaranteed money down the road. It's possible the sides will agree to a restructuring, which could save $22 million in cap space, per ESPN's Todd Archer, with the idea of discussing an extension

"We've got to have a plan to ultimately extend Dak," Jones said.

That’s because you’re dumb Stephen.

Only way this works is if you make a contract you can actually get out of.

You participated in the market of stupidity that is paying the non-elite QB and now you can’t build the Super team he needs.

What did you expect.

"I've got all the faith in the world we can win this thing with Dak," Jones said from the scouting combine in Indianapolis."

Why?

"Because we know him. We know what he's about. His leadership skills are undeniable. Impeccable work ethic," Jones said. "Other than he hadn't won some key playoff games, he's everything you want in a quarterback. From the day he walked in the door, he's won a lot of games. We just got to get over the hump."

Prescott is set to count $49.2 million against the 2023 salary cap. He is signed through 2024. If the Cowboys restructure Prescott's contract this year, they can create up to $22 million in cap space. With an extension, they could create even more room.

"We've got to have a plan to ultimately extend Dak," Jones said.
Sorry Stephen , the answer is NO!

Everything you want...except playoff success.

But we can win this thing with Dak, baby.
He's the perfect example of Jerry and son's just good enough money making toy called the Dallas Cowboys.

Just good enough to win regular season games especially in this weakened division of the past. Now the division is better though.

But if anyone, homer or hater, can picture Sleepnumber ever beating 4 consecutive playoff coaching staffs, quarterbacks and defenses;
REGARDLESS of coaching, playcalling and player support, then...

I really dont know what to tell ya but yeah, smh.

Never mind. There's a Die with Dak on the Hill contingent here so it's not even worth continuing on.

Just so sad, lol

Then why didn't Dak take the Cowboys to the SuperBowl? He beat the eagles that were going to the SB. Man, the excuses this guy gets is way overboard!
Because we didn't play the Eagles in the playoffs?
We got a SF that could actually throw a forward pass?

Maybe?

When Stephen said, "we can win this thing with Dak," he might have been referring to the regular season, and not beyond. :muttley:

lol...I have no idea what you are trying to convey. What is with all the question marks, you confused again?

So, why did you brag about Dak beating the eagles? I mean, Dak can throw a forward pass, but it's usually to the opponent.
