When you compare Jobs to say Eric Schmidt or any other previous Google CEO, jobs is a dictator.

When you compare Jobs to Hitler or Saddam, in the ONLY sense that they were all dictators, that is correct.

Jobs controlled anything and everything that went into and out of Apple, and had extremely strict guidelines that he followed. It has done the company well but I believe if they let loose on those guidelines a bit, they would gain more fan boys.

When the porn industry adopted HTML5, it sealed its fate as an alternative to flash.

Not kidding. If you want another example, Pandora is in the process of switching from flash to HTML5.

You probably don't know what to listen for, that's why. It's already a main component of the most popular sites in the world like YouTube, Google, and so on. The whole idea of HTML5 is that it enhances and makes more flexible, not that it's waving a red banner everywhere it crops up.

It does a lot more than videos.

You're right. I know why people would jump up in arms, but the reason they do it is an emotional reaction. Either way, it doesn't make the statement untrue. People just don't like the association. Most serial killers are white. Bet there are a lot of people that don't like that association either, but it doesn't make it untrue and it also doesn't make all white people serial killers.

As for HTML5, it's not even an actual standard yet. They (W3C) was still asking for feedback as recent as August 3rd, 2011. HTML5 will unseat Flash, but it hasn't yet. (read: It's incomplete so it can't) That is the reason Flash is still an important component.

It violated Jobs ego. His fight with Adobe is why it isn't on the iPhone.
