Hard to take your comment serious dude when you say WE are currently at 7, then you end by saying don't compare THEM to OURS. So are you Raven or Cowboy fan?
TOs are big but they don't tell the whole story. I would submit that a timely sack or TFL is just s good as a TO. This team is doing that in spades...plus we get turnovers. So yes they are not as good as the Ravens yet....But Micah Parsons is a better player than Ray Lewis as he is much more versatile. Ed Reed is obviously better than Diggs, but Diggs is pretty good in his own right.
We also have a supporting defensive and special teams corp that is as good as anyone out there. We have already beat both of last years Super Bowl Teams....wait for it....with our 2nd string quarterback!!! So heck yeah this Defense is exceptional and can win a Super Bowl as we have already beaten the best!!!
Huh, I said don't compare them as Dallas isn't even close to generating TOs at the pace of that Ravens defense. Even last year's defense, which began the season with 12 TOs in the first 5 games (the Ravens ended up with 14 in the first five games), ended up notching only 35, which is almost HALF of what that Ravens defense produced over the course of the season, which was 61. Nobody is disputing this defense is good, the point is this defense is NOWHERE close to one of the greatest defenses of all time, arguably greatest. To be in that category requires seriously ridiculous play over the course of the season. We are currently at 7 TOs now and we still have an extra game in the season to play and the Giants only scored against the Ravens in the SB, because of a 97 yard kickoff return close to the end of the third, otherwise it would have been a shutout.
And I would even argue our offense is better than there's as it was ranked 14th and scored 20 points a game in a more defense-oriented league and one can only imagine how much of that scoring was predicated on their defense giving Trent Dilfer plenty of opportunities to score within opposing defenses territory. Cooper Rush has already won 2 games without the defense generating a TO, so the 18 PPG as far as it compares to the Ravens is not really a fair comparison.
And if anything, TO differential is way more important than some garbage-time yardage by a QB like Dak, as it relates to winning games. It helped him pad his stats plenty against garbage teams. A flurry of of TOs in a hurry can turn a close scoring game into a blow-out.
