Why is the FO always incompetent when a player is cut or extended when a fan does not agree? Yet the FO consistently finds quality players in the draft, FAs, and UDFAs? If they were truly incompetent then they would not be able to do any of that.

No excuse for this other than incompetence by the FO. I understand he likely would be inactive in game days THIS year. Look ahead a year. Armstrong a free agent, Fowler a free agent, hopefully Sam isn’t suspended or something and who knows how much longer Lawrence is going to play. Such a bad decision.
The only incompetence in here is fans like you thinking you know more than the front office this dude was just another guy with possible potential they're all over the NFL being cut right now I mean get over it you are not a decision maker for a professional sports team nor do you get to see what he really is like all these players in real games against number ones and you probably never will because they won't make it that far.. You can mark this down the legal system takes forever Sam Williams will play all year this year until the legal system works itself out then the league will figure it out next off season.. We are overloaded with pass rushers dude I don't know what you're complaining about Isaiah land yes looked like he had some potential if he can convert himself to a hybrid linebacker slash occasional outside linebacker pass rusher but he is not special he did not make the roster because real talented professional scouts and coaches in the GM have decided he wasn't worth the 53 right now you wanna blame the spot blame the spot on fehoko because they didn't wanna give up on a draft pick they feel like he's probably better at the positions you're crying about Isaiah land isn't really fit on this team we're overloaded with pass rushers..

What we really need is a real linebacker that can move around like a poor man's Micah Parsons that was overshown and he got hurt Isaiah land possibly could have been that guy but there are so many guys we can pluck off other people's practice squads or that are still gonna be cut before week 1 that this is a non issue that fans are taking issue with including Rockport poor guy anything any now he's going around on every post that if we lost one of your favorites it must be because of Trey Lance..

Yo rock calm down you're making a mountain out of a molehill and you're just a Little Rock not a mountain but don't make mountains..:lmao::laugh::huh:

The overreactions all preseason the overreactions now about the roster spots for dudes who are nothing these dudes are dime a dozen on other people's practice squads and rosters.. If we needed to make room for the people they felt was better then that's the way it should be and if we need another guy like Isaiah land we'll go pluck him off somebody else's practice squad or they'll be out there in free agency trust me..

I am not pleased either. He seemed like he was making a difference when he played and you could tell he affected the opponent to the point he even drew penalties.

The only real excuse is that he would never dress unless something terrible happened. I also did not see that he was utilized much if any on STs and that would have been his true ticket.

If we were incompetent, it was not finding a role or at least seeing what else he could do to make the roster. He was used primarily as a rusher.

The other side of this is that this might be one of the harder final cuts I have seen in quite some time and that is across the roster. Unless we wanted to cut bait on Fehoko or perhaps Dante Fowler, there really are not many players still hanging around that either don't deserve it, or at least are a warm body that would see regular snaps,

At the end of the day, only 2% or so of the players cut get claimed. So it is clear the Colts recognized him as a player that could get on the field. It probably was not happening in Dallas.

We let go of cox and land knowing we had depth issues. That is telling imo
yeah what it's telling you is that the actual professionals that have a keen eye for talent new that they were just going to find somebody else to fill those spots and if they cleared waivers those other guys will go back on the practice squad if not some of these guys are dime a dozen type players we can get them anytime off other people's practice squads just like people took Isaiah land and this dude's acting like we just lost Lawrence Taylor can people please calm down..

And yet six weeks from now he could be back on their practice squad or cut people making a big deal about some dude who would never have saw the field with a deep deep staff of pass rushers we have right now what we need is an off ball linebacker that can play a hybrid role as a pass rusher occasionally like a poor man's Micah Parsons we don't need to worry about that right now and I think they're gonna go out and they have a list to bring in a more experienced linebacker not a pass rush specialist that you might be able to convert turn off the ball linebacker hybrid.. I like Isaiah land but you know how much I thought about him being cut and signed by another team

ZERO thought so you get a guy started a whole thread on it I mean how ridiculous is that please please stop the nonsense you all are not talent evaluators you don't have the responsibility to fit 53 players on the roster under a hard salary cap and build one for the long haul and then you hope that you can get some players back to the practice squad but it isn't that big a deal people we gotta worry about the actual 53 players in which 46 show up on game day active list you can't keep everyone..

You're too worried about next year and the year after over a scrub that was just cut he's proved nothing in the NFL how about this how about you let the people who are actually professionals figure that out for themselves they are the professional scouts coaches owners and GM's will pick the right players if not you know many Isaiah lands that will probably be in the next three drafts I mean look how low he went in this draft or wait a minute was he drafted or was he an undrafted free agent I don't even remember because I haven't lost a single thought until I came on here it seemed how ridiculous this is for a fan to call the front office and confident for letting the dude like him go seriously

No he didn’t play much beyond the first couple of games last year.

He was, IMO, just a guy who was where the QB expected him to be, so he got a lot of passes thrown his way in camp (2022). He lacks any kind of special traits other than diligent and did what he was supposed to do.

Dallas was short handed at WR last season and he didn’t see much action. The camp had some fans excitement up about him, and then the regular season started.

This year, he did less in camp and had some other UDFA’s outplaying him, so it was pretty evident that he was getting cut.

He’s a good guy and works at his craft but he’s just not talented. He is a fine 5th or 6th WR who will give you an honest day’s work. Expecting much of anything from him would probably be a mistake. Y’all might just want to pick his brain before opening weekend. Dallas is running a different offense than last season, so maybe he could tell Martindale something worthwhile… although the main game planning starts now.

He’s a good team mate and reliable are about the best that can be said about him.
Wow, boy did you walk the extra mile here, Asthma. Thank you very much for this. You have been a gentleman and a scholar a few other times when dialoging with me. See, who said Cowboys and Giants fans can’t hold hands and sing Kumbaya together?

For what it’s worth, I was hoping NY would pick up Isaiah McKenzie, who played with Daboll in Buffalo and is also a very good special teams returner. Kill two birds with one stone.….this would make Houston irrelevant.

Colts didn't think so.
Colts have one of the weaker rosters in the NFL. If not for the Cardinals, and possibly Patriots, they would be considered the weakest roster in the NFL.

I would have loved to have kept him but cutting a guy you like means the staff has someone else they like better
Good rosters are gonna lose players other teams want. That’s just the sign of a solid off season to me
When you cut to 53 and no player you cut gets signed you are doing something wrong

Wasn’t even going to suit up once this year barring cluster injury.

What are we upset about again?

I'm not sure you understand the current rules for QBs on a roster. Now if we had 4 QBs on the 53..

There are 3 QBs on the 53 which likely would've only been 2 if they don't make the Lance trade.
