IMO Bill wants the wins record. I think some GMs and owners may want to go with a younger coach.

Jerry, could see value here in that he can keep control of being the GM while getting a "big name" coach.
Relevance in the media.
Jerry is a dinosaur and so is Bill. Perfect match lol
This is a credible marketing strategy for Jerry.
And as everybody knows, Jerry's all about the most effective sales pitch.
So from this pure salesmanship angle I can see it happening if for no other reason.

My money is on Belichick. One last stab at relevance for both ownership and head coach.
Agreed. He has a good relationship with the Joneses and knows that he would be the de facto GM, with Jerry taking the credit and the blame. Belichick is the type, like Parcells, who could actually throw his weight around and get away with it. Of course, first thing I'd ask is if the Joneses are going to allow me to go get the players I want in free agency. Considering the Patriots were one of the teams that usually didn't spend big in FA, I don't think he'd be asking for carte blanche spending.

HC- Matt Campbell Iowa State
OC/WR- Mike Shanahan Indiana
Co/DC- Robert Saleh(LB's) and Dennis Allen(Secondary)
ST- Bones
Oline- Kyle Flood Texas
Dline- Eli Rasheed Iowa State, been with Campbell since his Toledo days
TE's- Jason Witten
LB's- LVE, Saleh can train him up before he move on.
RB's- Skip Peete, steal him from Tampa and bring him back

Campbell makes Iowa State good pretty much every year. They don't have overwhelming talent compared to other teams but he still makes it work.

There is only one name on that list that might get more control. Unfortunately, his name is Bill Belichick. Jerry and son will run roughshod over everyone else, probably hire their coordinators for him too.

There is no correct answer in Dallas, all head coaches will fail under these conditions.

Cowboys need a disciplinarian. But the Cowboys also need someone that can install a modern offense.

Tough choice betweeen Belichek, Vrabel vs Ben Johnson, Slowik

Jerry won't allow the right kind of discipline. It goes against his player-buddy persona.

This 100%......he and the Patriots were very similar to Jerry and Stephen regarding free agency.......fiscal conservative. His scheme made a lot Jags into quality players. I honestly believe he's the one defensive coach who could turn this defense around fairly quickly and wouldn't need a bunch of superstars. My only concern is what OC he brings with him but I'm guessing Jerry would make sure he is a good fit with Dak.

Something you hardly hear is Brady didn't have a lot of 300+ yard games coz Belichick's defenses kept opponents scoring down.

I have heard he's actually close with Jerry AND Stephen.......they have served on several league committees together.

No problem with the disagreement. It’s just a gut feeling.

It feels like a repeat of the Parcells era.

In desperation, Jerry cedes a measure of profile and control, as does Belichick.
Jerry was desperate because he wanted his stadium built and he couldn’t sell that with the teams and talent he was fielding. Now? It’s all about JJ ego, and BB flys right in the face of that. Jerry doesn’t have a reason to hire an old HC. He’s not going to give up control I think that’s pretty clear, so my only hope is they bring someone in who can manage the relationship in a way that Jerry will buy in, and BB isn’t that guy.

Hopefully, Jerry'd let him bring in his own OC. One of Belichick's former lieutenants I'm sure. I do think Belichick's focus would be on fixing the interior DL. If he comes here and it's not, then I'll be disappointed.

Brian Daboll ........
I'm not sure about Daboll. I think he's been living off the success he had as Buffalo's OC with Josh Allen at QB. His offense definitely has not been anything special in New York. I could see Belichick bringing in McDaniels since they had a lot of success together with McDaniels as OC. I can't find where McDaniels is working anywhere this year after getting fired as the Raiders' head coach, so the two could already be conspiring to reunite at Belichick's next stop.
