Sturm talks interior line and draft

We are all tired of the 'hope' pitch.

You may be tired of it, but will be used again this year. As usual, some fans will fall for it. I would be happy with when the pitch is based on facts and includes something along the lines of an upward trend in wins over the last few years. I have read about all the progress with the team under Garrett and how drafting and the talent on the roster is improved. I actually want more wins to believe any of that BS. I have never thought that a team could be built this well , but remain at 8-8 every year.

Yeah, I think we should give him a chance. He was a rookie last year and played well. People want to replace both guards and RT. I think we should give Leary a chance, and Bern is a great backup OG/OC.

I agree that Leary has potential, but the knee problem creates a situation where a quality backup needs to be on the roster. I hope the knee holds up because Leary is young and has room to grow as a player. Bern is a backup and needs replaced in the starting lineup.

and couldnt throw a spiral

Sure he could. Parcells gave him a shot in 2003 and he performed well. He was excellent against SF that year.

His issue was substance abuse ie he liked snorting powders and it derailed his life really.

we didnt play sf in 2003 and he didnt perform well that season. our d carried us. our offense avg 19ppg and quinthy had 17 tds and 21 ints for 3300yds and completed 57% of his passes. that is not well.

.........on second thought, paying $50M for 1 CB and a 1st and 2nd for another CB in the same offseason was original

Then after doing that deciding to switch to a zone based defense that neither of your CBs are suited to play.................HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Its hard to even make this stuff up.

Of course this is so but There is a build up snf s tipping point where wins start to accumulate. We're kinda slow however.

Winnie, idgit, fuzzy and of course the immortal theogt (COSTA WILL MAKE THE PRO BOWL) all bleated that we who could see were all blind.

This is true. Except for the "you who could see" part.

The reality is, the team did just as I said it should on the OL. You guys complained about it at every single turn, and things have improved, regardless.

This is just not true
Costa, kowalski, Nagy , and Arkin will make a great OL and "just need time to develop"

I heard it right here

I'm befuddled as to why anyone would "like" this post. It's just something you made up, and then tried to pass off as somebody else's imaginary argument.

Besides the fact that it doesn't have the benefit of being true, it doesn't even have the benefit of being remotely clever.

Not every post on this site has to be clever. I did find it kinda funny to be honest. Let's be real, there were a gang of posters on here throughout 2011-12 who were willing and ready to hold out hope for these bums. Some of us were calling it like we see it. If I had a dollar for how many times I heard "3 year rule" from the Arkin defenders....LOL.

Oh, ok

Sshhhhh....
Let him stay befuddled
It is a defense mechanism

oh just give up why don't you? People are laughing AT you and not with you. You again and again defended the status quo at that time. And guess what? They are ALL Gone and none of them are going to amount to anything; and you cannot admit that you did not see it.

Theo comes in and out especially during the offseason. You are terrible at proving causation.

The Colts have hit far more than they missed and again, he took less than a week to sign. Who is to say that only the Colts were the only team interested. At the end of the day, he was a sought after free agent by virtue of what I just discussed.

Shall I go look up all the quotes you had about how no one is going to want to sign him should he be cut? Then shall we discuss who cannot admit they are wrong?

so a team picked up a loser for a while and that proves something? Your bleat about causation is hilarious.

Yes, but, but, but costa will be a great center, just give him time

You can file that alongside the excuses for why the also talentless Cory Procter took up space for as long as he did.

"Well the coaches must see SOMETHING they like and they're a lot SMARTER than YOU!"

Their hope is that one day, at some point in the future, one of these multitudes will become a serviceable player and then they will be in here preening and cooing about how they always knew it and had faith while we are morons, all the while ignoring all the other busted projects

But that is their MO

"Dude, I called it!!!"
