Sunday Combine Thread

LONG DAY COMING FOR MANNINGHAM?
Posted by Mike Florio on February 24, 2008, 12:31 p.m.
Michigan receiver Mario Manningham could end up being on the board longer than expected when the draft gets underway in late April.

On Sunday, he generated an ultra-sssslow 4.68 seconds in the 40-yard dash, according to one of the scouts in attendance. We’re also told that some of his interviews have been not-so-stellar.

Poor interviews tend to stand out, because more and more of the players are prepared to come across very well during the 15-minute sessions at the Combine.

Mike Hart for Michigan Rb For him to bench press 255ibs 23 reps jump is 28 in the Ver. for being 5/8 tall he has had very good day.

Eddie Royal looks good, so does Devin Thomas.

Monk just dropped an easy out.

Inflated? You make it sound like he didn't actually lift any weight. All he can do is work with what he has.

It's good to see Marshall Faulk calling Mayock out on his rankings.

Marshall has been through the experience 1st hand. he had a HOF career.....He is very intelligent, well spoken, and has a lot of knowledge of what it takes to be an NFL player.

I take Faulk's word over Mayock's anyday.

I wouldn't go that far. Faulk can be a boob in his opinions as well.

If nothing else, it's a good dialogue between the panelists.

I agree. I'm betting Faulk bases his "opinions" off of other peoples' thoughts. While I think Mayocks' rankings are pretty wack, at least he thinks for himself.

Well I would...........

I don't care what Rice runs.

He's going to be a very, very, very productive back in the NFL.

I am wanting to take a flyer on Heath Benedict. I really like this guy. I think he could play OT or OG in the NFL.

Interesting to hear that Mayock had only watched 5 or 6 games of Woodson this season. For a guy that says he bases his opinion on watching coach's tape, you'd think he'd watch every game, at least for the top prospects.

He basically said he dropped Woodson in his rankings because he had a bad Senior Bowl week. That's ridiculous.

rice reminds me of Emmitt Smith the way he runs. He runs hard, tough, not the fastest guy, but has great vision. I just wish he was a better receiver out of the backfield.
