That new Indy stadium looks sweet.

Between Arizona, Indy, and Dallas......the NFL is getting 3 very nice stadiums

Add in Seattle, Pittsburgh, NE, Detroit, Houston, and Denver and the NFL has definitely upgraded its facilities.

Love the new Indy stadium. It kind of gives me a vibe of what MLB is doing with some of their new stadiums.

4.59 & 4.62 for Manningham. NOT good.

As was mentioned, this last OSU vs Mich game he dropped 4 balls.

Pass.

burma shush your piehole young man........the great Mayock has spoken and it is Manningham that we must draft.......:bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Quick = sudden.......which means they get on you in a hurry and have exceptional ability to change direction on a dime...it is more side to side or diagonal speed...

Fast = superb straightline speed

I always liken the difference to cars.

I had a friend in high school who was into drag racing. He had an Olds 442 that would top out at 98 MPH. But it got there RIGHT NOW. (quick)

Had another friend with an old Comet. The car didn't win any streetlight to streetlight races, but he has a speeding ticket framed in his living room that he proudly displays with a "145 in a 55" arrest and citation. (fast)

so the forty measures speed ie sees who fast

and the splits and other drills measures quick and explosiveness

so how can some1 say some1 is quick based of a forty time ?

They were talking about how the 40 became the measuring stick. They said a coach (can't remember which) decided that a punt traveled 40 yards so they used to 40 to time how quick someone could get down to cover it, and it stuck.

They seemed to believe that the 10 yard dash was actually a good measure for RB's, they talked about how Emmit ran the 40 poorly but his 10 was superb.

I'm glad to see NFLN using the awesome Texas band Explosions in the Sky as their background music on the player montages.

The knock that Mayock had on him was that the offense he played in didn't run many NFL style routes. A lot of screens and bubble routes. Mayock said it made it hard to evaluate him.

ahhh ok thanks

speaking of MLB new stadiums.......that new Tampa Ray stadium looks awesome.

I wish they had a concept for the new Marlins stadium already.

Don't know about you, but I use my eyeballs.

If you can't see the difference between the way Devin Thomas and Jordy Nelson, I can't help you.

did they build a new soldier field or did they merely upgrade the old one?

I wonder if a guy has ever blown out a knee or something in the combine and what happens if that's the case.

Marshall Faulk giving Choice some love. Said he's the only back in this draft that can "do it all."

the NFL Network coverage is decent.....but I don't like mayock. I wish they could get someone else out there.

just wish they would show the results of each drill so we could see how our favorite prospects are doing.

I have yet to see Charles 40 times or his vertical

He's not NOT quick, he's just not the type of guy I want in the slot. I think he' going to turn out to be a solid #2 guy somewhere. With his 6'3" frame and top end speed, I'm definitely putting him outside.

Neither is Crayton. I think I rather have Nelson in the slot and PR though. He shows more of a burst than Crayton.

Stokely isn't exactly a burner but was a great slot for the Colts as well. Same with Chris Henry of the Bengals.

Is there any concensus who the top overall WRs are at this stage?

The guys you like who incorporate hands, speed, route running, and have adequate size?

Who is the least risky prospect in their respective rounds, for example?

Jordy Nelson is a football player. He is a bit of a Proehl/Welker type. He is not the most physically imposing specimen you will see, but he will burn your hole like steaming pot of habanero chili's..........

Everyone talks about the Talib play.....I don't, didn't see it. What I did see was him use my Texas Longhorns defense and special teams like a tampon and discard them at the 50 yard line right there in Memorial Stadium. He was all over the place making plays.

He is the perfect slot WR.....and he can return punts (not just fair catch the darn things).
:fact:
